Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds Attend ‘SNL 50’ in First Red Carpet Appearance Together Amid Legal Battle Against Justin Baldoni

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds stepped onto the red carpet for their first joint appearance, despite their ongoing legal dispute with Justin Baldoni. The married pair were part of a star-studded gathering at the “SNL50: The Anniversary Special” event in New York City on Sunday evening. While Reynolds attended the National Board of Review awards last month to present an award for “Wicked”, Lively has largely avoided public attention amid her legal conflict with Baldoni, her director and co-star on “It Ends With Us”.

In December 2024, Lively claimed that Baldoni had sexually harassed her and launched a damaging campaign against her following disagreements on the set of “It Ends With Us.” Bryan Freedman, representing Baldoni and his production company Wayfarer Studios, deemed Lively’s allegations as disgraceful and filled with untrue accusations. Lively’s legal documents contained text messages and emails between Baldoni and his PR team, which outlined their supposed plan to harm Lively’s reputation after whispers of a conflict between them started circulating online.

Baldoni and Lively have both initiated legal action against one another, with Baldoni additionally suing The New York Times for defamation in response to their initial story about Lively’s accusations. In his lawsuit towards Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds, Baldoni also raised concerns over the character from Reynold’s “Deadpool & Wolverine” movie, claiming it was intended as a malicious effort to ridicule, harass, or intimidate him.

It remains unclear if Lively and Reynolds will take part in the “SNL50: The Anniversary Special” as performers or simply watch from the audience. This event is set to air on NBC and Peacock at 8 p.m. ET. So far, the confirmed celebrity guests include Adam Driver, Ayo Edebiri, Bad Bunny, Dave Chappelle, John Mulaney, Kim Kardashian, Martin Short, Miley Cyrus, Paul McCartney, Paul Simon, Pedro Pascal, Peyton Manning, Quinta Brunson, Robert De Niro, Sabrina Carpenter, Scarlett Johansson, Steve Martin, Tom Hanks, and Woody Harrelson.
