Universal revealed in December that the movie is a mythic, action-packed adventure shot around the world using groundbreaking IMAX technology. It marks the first time Homer’s ancient story has been brought to life on an IMAX screen.
In the world of literature, I’ve come across the timeless tale penned by Homer titled “The Odyssey,” an ancient Greek epic that continues to captivate modern readers. This masterpiece recounts the adventures of the legendary hero, Odysseus, as he navigates through the challenges that arose during his arduous voyage back home after the Trojan War.
As a devoted admirer, I must say that Gavron gained widespread recognition for his exceptional performance in “A Star is Born,” directed by Bradley Cooper, where he shared the screen with none other than Cooper and the extraordinary Lady Gaga. Remarkably, he made his debut in a captivating lead role in Anthony Minghella’s film “Breaking and Entering,” starring alongside Jude Law and Juliette Binoche. This impressive performance earned him a nomination for the prestigious title of Best Newcomer at the British Independent Film Awards.
In January of next year, Gavron will take on a role in Amazon MGM’s sci-fi thriller movie titled “Mercy,” alongside Chris Pratt and Rebecca Ferguson. Previously, in 2024, Gavron made his Broadway debut on stage, working with Academy Award winner Robert Downey Jr. in the play “McNeal.” This production was written by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Ayad Akhtar and directed by Bartlett Sher.
Gavron’s latest television projects encompass the Showtime and Paramount+ miniseries “Spirits of Beirut,” as well as two seasons of the crime drama “Harlem’s Godfather,” starring Academy Award winner Forest Whitaker in the 1960s setting. Other notable appearances include a role in Seth MacFarlane’s horror movie adaptation of Clive Barker’s “Books of Blood” on Hulu, alongside Anna Friel and Britt Robertson. Gavron also featured in the HBO series “Westworld” and George Clooney’s miniseries “Catch-22” for Hulu.
Previously, Fernandez has acted in movies like “Evil Dead”, “Deadgirl”, “Red Riding Hood” and “Continue”. On the small screen, he has been featured on shows such as “Jericho”, “United States of Tara” and “Euphoria”.
