Brace Yourself: The Stranger Things Characters Most Likely to Meet a Shocking End!

In simpler terms, Stranger Things Season 5 marks the final chapter of Netflix’s popular sci-fi series, implying that some of the beloved characters may not survive beyond the fifth season, having narrowly avoided danger in the past.

Stranger Things is known for not shying away from character deaths. Often, new characters are introduced who quickly win viewers’ hearts, only for their untimely demise at the hands of a Demogorgon or similar creature to leave us heartbroken.

Just as it unfolded with Bob, Alexei, and Eddie, this is the scenario we find ourselves in. Witnessing their departures was tough, but now we’re on to Season 5. The Duffer Brothers are gearing up for some serious action, so be prepared for potential perils involving our beloved characters.

Or more concisely:

As with Bob, Alexei, and Eddie, this is the storyline. While it was hard to see them leave, we’ve moved on to Season 5. The Duffer Brothers are preparing for a major showdown, so some of our favorite characters could be in jeopardy.

We’ve identified which Stranger Things characters might meet their fate by the end of Season 5, so you have ample time to mentally prepare yourself for the possible losses ahead. Keep in mind that these are just predictions; the actual outcome may vary.

Steve

I can’t bear the thought of Steve meeting his end. Yet, it’s astounding that Hawkins’ star athlete has managed to survive this long, considering his brash beginnings. Initially, Steve was all about his jock persona and paid little heed to those around him. However, over time, he’s transformed into a selfless hero, standing tall for Elle and the rest of us, demonstrating his worth as an invaluable team member.

What makes him an ideal candidate for trouble is his appealing mix of traits: he’s undergoing redemption, he’s well-liked, and he has distinctive hair. Add to that the secretly recorded set audio that seems to be Dustin urging him to flee, and these indicators strongly suggest a grim reality. It’s quite possible that Steve is in serious danger.

Likelihood of death: 8/10

Eleven

11/Jane/El could potentially be the main character of this tale, yet that doesn’t mean she’s immune to danger. It’s worth noting that at the end of the first season, she mysteriously vanished following her heroic act of obliterating a Demogorgon. Yes, she reappeared in Season 2, but remember, her abilities frequently come with a cost and can lead to unexpected outcomes.

As a devoted fan, I can’t help but ponder if El’s only chance to permanently vanquish Vecna is by meeting her end alongside him. Such a sacrifice might be the only way to restore balance, given the extraordinary circumstances that brought her into the lives of Mike, Dustin, and many others in Hawkins. It’s heartbreaking to consider, but it seems highly improbable that she’ll ever experience a normal, tranquil life again.

Likelihood of death: 7/10

Owens

Initially, it’s uncertain whether Owens is currently alive. Following his transportation of Eleven to the secret laboratory called Project Nina, his survival became unclear. During Eleven’s escape, Owens was trapped below ground and presumably got into a struggle with Colonel Sullivan. He was likely still underground when Eleven crashed a helicopter onto the facility, causing widespread destruction.

Although his death isn’t depicted or a body shown, television guidelines suggest that he must still be alive. It’s likely we’ll learn about his return in Season 5, possibly through a revelation about hidden passages. So far, he has played a significant role in El’s life, and his trustworthiness remains uncertain.

As a dedicated gamer, I’m deeply entwined with the enigma unfolding at Hawkins Lab. Sadly, it seems my involvement could potentially lead to my demise.

Likelihood of death: 6/10

Will

From day one, it felt like the whole story was about Will – and as I watched him go missing and Hawkins change forever, I knew deep down that our journey would ultimately lead back to him. Even after all these years, there’s something inside of Will that can’t break free from his biological bond with Vecna and the Upside Down. And in those final moments of Season 4, I couldn’t help but feel a chill run down my spine as he sensed danger looming once more.

In essence, Eleven stands ready to perform a significant self-sacrifice for the safety of her companions and the town, whereas Will equally embraces the role of hero.

Could it be possible that he is the primary link to Vecna? Is he the crucial element in breaking down the barrier connecting our world with the Upside Down? The fifth season may bring about significant character deaths, and Will appears to be a strong candidate for this fate.

Likelihood of death: 9/10

Vecna

I’m sorry, Vecna, but you’re doomed. It’s highly unlikely that the Netflix series will conclude with the main antagonist triumphing. The stakes are at an all-time high, and the entire team has been meticulously preparing for this very moment since the start of the series, aiming to finally lift the curse over Hawkins and free it from the clutches of the Upside Down.

Venca may be formidable, there’s no doubt about it, but he’s not unbeatable. Max and Nancy have demonstrated this by landing remarkable blows and even slipping out of his grip on several occasions.

Fundamentally, it comes down to a battle between Venca and Eleven, or even Will. However, one of them will either meet their end, or Hawkins faces destruction. Given that Stranger Things is a tribute to ’80s adventure films as we understand it, the heroes are likely to emerge victorious in the end.

Likelihood of death: 10/10
