‘Taylor Lautner: Werewolf Hunter’ TV Series in Development at Amazon MGM Studios (EXCLUSIVE)

Taylor Lautner is set to star in a very self-aware(wolf) TV series.

It has been confirmed that Taylor Lautner will feature in and oversee the production of the upcoming scripted series “Taylor Lautner: Werewolf Hunter.” This project, which is still under development at Amazon MGM Studios, was introduced to Amazon by Tornante Productions, an independent studio known for creating shows like “BoJack Horseman” and the Amazon series “Undone.” Daisy Gardner serves as both the creator and executive producer of this series.

Following the conclusion of the final ‘Twilight’ movie, Taylor Lautner stepped away from public attention. This led to much conjecture among fans and speculation by tabloids – but the reality surpasses even the wildest imagination. Taylor wasn’t merely taking a break from his acting career; he was readying himself for his true vocation…Enter Taylor Lautner: Werewolf Hunter. In this role, Taylor portrays himself being recruited into a clandestine group of werewolf hunters who require his unique talents. Balancing his dual existence – daytime Hollywood actor and nighttime supernatural warrior – Taylor grapples with the irony of confronting the very creatures that catapulted him to stardom. Caught between saving the world, rejuvenating his career, and falling in love, he encounters the ultimate quandary: what transpires when your most significant role becomes your deadliest adversary?

Matthew Bettinelli-Olpin, Tyler Gillett (alongside Gardner and Lautner), and Radio Silence will be the directors and executive producers for this upcoming show. Adam Londy from Tornante will also join as an executive producer, along with Tarik Kanafani. Amazon MGM Studios and Tornante are collaborating to produce it.

Fans of Lautner are undoubtedly excited to see him return to the realm of werewolves, given that he first gained prominence by portraying Jacob Black in the “Twilight Saga” movies. In these films, it’s worth noting that Jacob was a character with a lineage of shape-shifting abilities and the power to transform into a wolf. Together, these five films garnered an impressive global box office revenue of over $3 billion.

Beyond his role in “Twilight,” Taylor Lautner is also recognized for appearances in movies such as “Sharkboy and Lavagirl’s 3D Adventure,” “Abduction,” and “The Ridiculous 6.” On television, he has been featured on shows like “Scream Queens,” “Cuckoo,” and “My Own Worst Enemy.”
