In this walkthrough, we’ll show you the steps needed to finish the Forbidden Fruit Quest within Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
As an ardent admirer, let me share my excitement about Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 – the much-lauded RPG that immerses you in the shoes of Henry, embarking on a breathtaking odyssey through the heart of 15th Century Bohemia. Along your adventure, you’ll encounter numerous side quests to partake in, one such being the Forbidden Fruit Mission – a tangled tale that awaits you. Here’s a breakdown of the steps required to see this quest to its conclusion.
Obtaining the Quest
The “Forbidden Fruit” mission becomes available once you finish the side quest titled “Materia Prima.” This task can be picked up from Miller Kreyzl, who’s located at the Lower Semine Mill. Your objective is to identify a saltpetre pit and verify it by tasting it.
You’ll get the “Forbidden Fruit” side mission after wrapping up the quest called “Materia Prima.” Look for Miller Kreyzl at the Lower Semine Mill to grab this mission. To confirm if you’ve found the right saltpetre pit, all you need to do is take a taste!
Follow the marked spot on your map. Reach that place, and you’ll discover Bonnie and Zinek standing outside the designated shack.
Talking to Bonnie
As I stepped outside the humble hut, I found myself face-to-face with Bonnie. Our journey had led us to this marked spot, and now, Bonnie was ready to share some intriguing knowledge. “Let me tell you about saltpete,” she began, her eyes gleaming with enthusiasm.
“Saltpete?” I queried, eager to learn. “Yes!” she exclaimed, pointing towards the ground nearby. “It’s that white, crystalline substance you see forming around here.”
I knelt down to take a closer look and saw what she meant. The ground was indeed covered in tiny, crystalline formations. “Wow, I never knew it formed like this,” I marveled, looking up at Bonnie with wide eyes.
“It’s a fascinating process,” she continued. “Saltpete forms when nitrogen-rich materials, like manure or compost, are exposed to moisture and air over a long period of time.”
I nodded, taking in every word. This was an opportunity I couldn’t miss. “Thanks for explaining that, Bonnie,” I said, trying to sound as polite as possible. “I appreciate your help and the knowledge you’ve shared today.”
With a warm smile, she replied, “You’re most welcome! It’s always a pleasure to share what I know. And who knows? This could be the start of a great partnership between us!”
I left our conversation with a renewed sense of excitement and determination. With Bonnie on my side, there was no telling what adventures awaited me next in this grand game we call life.
- I’m looking for a saltpetre pit.
- (Pick any nickname)
- I have something for you. (Give her 1 of any herbs you have)
- I can’t wait to see what comes of it.
- Let’s talk.
- A family of blacksmiths.
- He seems mystical.
- That’s a lot.
- No, I don’t.
- A gravedigger?
Immediately, she advises you to make a trip to Gravedigger Ignatius, located south of Troskowitz. Keep in mind that this part of the Forbidden Fruit sidequest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 can be skipped. You also have the option to head straight to the saltpetre pit and bypass most of this mission. Yet, it’s suggested you finish it as planned to ensure you don’t miss crucial story elements and additional bonuses.

Helping Gravedigger Ignatius in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
Head over to Troskowitz’s eastern cemetery area. Gravedigger Ignatius can be found wandering around here. Inquire about the saltpetre pit from him, but he might seem puzzled as to why you’re asking. Once you explain your purpose, he should comprehend and may agree to guide you to where he disposes of carcasses in exchange for helping him with his duties.
As a devoted admirer, I’d like to propose an early-morning excursion with Ignatius at the break of dawn. If I were to suggest any other time, it might compromise my standing. So, let’s spend the intervening hours chatting until 5 am, then reconnect with Ignatius again. Follow me to his wagon, where we’ll embark on a journey together. Throughout our ride, there’ll be plenty of opportunities for engaging conversation with the enigmatic Ignatius. Eventually, we’ll arrive at our destination, where you’ll assist Ignatius in obtaining a carcass.
Obtaining the Carcasses in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
As I approach my destination, I find myself standing before a weathered, dilapidated structure – my objective lies within. The entrance to this old building presents itself in two distinct paths: one on the left and one on the right. My task is clear: I must venture inside to recover a crucial item that awaits me within.
- Lockpick the door, which has a very hard lock. High skill is required to pass it.
- Climb over the barrels behind the building and enter through an open window.
Upon entering, feel free to gather the deer carcass and exit through the inner door. Head towards the wagon outside and dispose of the bag there. You’ll encounter some farmhands conversing with Ignatius. They seem upset with Bonnie and Zinek; Ignatius asks you to resolve this issue peacefully or otherwise. Once you’ve handled the situation, converse with Ignatius to proceed on your next assignment. Currently, you are midway through the Forbidden Fruit sidequest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.
En route to the next farm, Ignatius discusses a mysterious affliction affecting the pigs. Upon arrival at your destination, follow your map to locate the source of the sickness. There, you’ll find several decomposing deer contaminating the water. Inform Ignatius about this discovery. He will assist in cleaning it up within an hour. Afterward, feel free to roam around the village and gather the carcasses to load onto a wagon.

Dealing With the Dog in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
Following this, proceed to the following location, as there’s a dog causing trouble with the local livestock that needs to be dealt with. Ignatius guides you to the hut where the dog is kept and sends you on your way. Upon arriving at the designated spot marked on your map, however, you find it unoccupied.
Following this, proceed east beyond the village, where you’ll find a large tree in an open field. It’s there that you encounter Bonnie, who is with the dog you were instructed to eliminate. She explains how cruelly its master treats the dog, leading it to attack livestock out of frustration. At this point, you are given a choice: either to put the dog down or spare its life.
- You gain a reputation if you spare the dog, after which Bonnie takes off with it.
- You lose your reputation if you decide to kill the dog and Bonnie gets angry with you.
1. First, handle the matter at hand.
2. Then, return to Ignatius and share the news (but lie if necessary) about saving the dog. If you manage to convince him that you passed the skill check without losing your reputation, proceed.
3. Ignatius will guide you to the pit for an experience. You’ll have a chance to see it up close.
4. For sticking by his side and assisting him throughout, Ignatius rewards you with Knacker’s Gloves as a token of gratitude.
After trying it out, feel free to share your findings with Miller Kreyzl stationed at the Lower Semine Mill. With this task accomplished, you’ve successfully finished the Forbidden Fruit mission within Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. Upon completion, here are the rewards you will receive for successfully completing the quest:
- 85 Groschen
- Increased reputation
- The Silence of the Cat II
