In a new adventure, one of Elden Ring’s renowned heroes, Dr. Doot, reappears. This time, he’s swapping familiar territories for Monster Hunter Wilds, where he wields the in-game saxophone weapon with astonishing authenticity, as it responds to the notes played on his actual saxophone.
Dr. Doot delivers some of the most amusing Elden Ring content online, featuring a hitless game run using an electric saxophone, along with a boss speedrun where Malenia succumbed to jazz power in under 60 seconds. To explain how he does it, the pitch bend knob at the back of his instrument serves as his left analog stick, while the notes he plays are connected to the buttons on a standard controller. Consequently, Dr. Doot must manipulate the saxophone’s sounds in numerous ways to execute even the most fundamental commands.
Step into the world of Monster Hunter Wilds, where Capcom has crafted a weapon that seems tailor-made for Dr. Doot! In this action RPG’s open beta, you can seize the opportunity to wield a Hunting Horn – specifically, the Hope Horn, which looks strikingly like a giant saxophone! The streamer discovered its existence as far back as August last year, exclaiming in delight: “Wow, there’s an actual saxophone weapon in Monster Hunter Wilds?
Now, it’s his turn to play, as last week he gleefully announced his anticipation of MONSTER HUNTER WILDS, where he can hunt monsters with a giant saxophone, and appreciated the developers for their Doot-based gameplay. Finally, he has revealed what we’ve all been eagerly waiting to see – him playing with his controller in hand.
He tweeted, ‘Are you going to play Monster Hunter Wilds with the saxophone controller and that giant saxophone weapon?’ His response was affirmative, stating that it turned out to be a blast (literally). He shared a short video showcasing his abilities against the Chatacabra monster. It’s hard to imagine the amount of practice required for such complex feats.
It seems like the streamer might continue causing a stir in Monster Hunter Wilds, based on his latest tweet. The beta testing for the action RPG resumes on Valentine’s Day (February 14) and will last an additional day to compensate for the PlayStation Network outage over the weekend. The game’s official release is not far off, set for February 28.
