Universal Names Former eOne Exec Kezia Williams as New U.K. Head

Kezia Williams is all set to take on the role of Managing Director at Universal Pictures International for both the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Starting from late February, Williams will be reporting directly to Paul Higginson, the Executive Vice President of EMEA for Universal Pictures International. Her role will involve managing the day-to-day operations within the region. Notably, she is stepping into the shoes previously filled by Rob Huber, who parted ways with the company at the end of 2024.

For over two decades, Kezia has been immersed in the field of distribution and marketing. In her latest role at Entertainment One, she started as the head of marketing and distribution, later progressing to managing director. During her tenure, she managed the U.K.’s film business for the company and orchestrated successful, event-centric campaigns that resulted in remarkable achievements, such as “1917,” “The BFG,” “The Girl on the Train,” and “Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves.

Stepping back into the world of Universal Pictures after a five-year stint with their U.K. Marketing team, I find myself once again immersed in this dynamic industry. During my time there, I played a crucial role in the successful launch of “Despicable Me” in 2010. Subsequently, I moved on to serve as the deputy marketing director for Warner Bros U.K., a position I held for over three years. Now, it’s time to put my experience and passion for cinema to good use as I embark on this new journey.

Higginson stated that he is certain Kezia will prove an indispensable leader for our UK and Ireland teams,” he said, “as she brings innovative strategies supported by extensive experience to help achieve exceptional performance.
