Hey there fellow gamers! Exciting news for all us Dead by Daylight fans – the beloved 2v8 mode is back in action, but this time it’s got a spooky Resident Evil twist! That means we can take on the roles of iconic killers like Wesker and Nemesis from the horror franchise. However, I’ve encountered an issue with Wesker – despite some buffs, there’s a rather pesky bug causing him some trouble. So, let’s see how it goes!
Wesker with game breaking bug in DBD 2v8
When you input “2v8” into DBD, you’ll notice some variations from standard gameplay. In this specific mode, survivors are instantly placed in traps when the killer grabs them. However, it’s important to note that several players have encountered a game-halting bug while using Mastermind’s ability. So, be cautious about capturing or being captured with Mastermind’s power on.
If you carry out that action (or if you’re the victim), there’s a possibility the survivor won’t approach the “trap” and could become stuck on Wesker’s shoulder. Once this happens, unfortunately, there’s no solution. You can’t drop the victim down. Stuns are ineffective, and even an endgame collapse doesn’t fix the issue. To prevent losing points, you should wait for several minutes after the game ends, as the server shuts down.
Wesker (The Mastermind) power in DBD 2v8 explained
As a devoted fan, I must say, it’s evident when he’s not provoking me that Wesker received a noticeable boost in power. He’s always been a formidable opponent, but now his aggression during chases has reached new heights. Let’s delve into the modifications the developers have introduced:
1. Increased Movement Speed: Wesker can now move more swiftly, making it harder for survivors to escape his grasp.
2. New Power – “Vaccine Injection”: After a certain number of hits on a survivor, Wesker can inject them with a vaccine, temporarily removing any status effects they have and slowing their movement speed.
3. Improved Add-ons: The add-ons for Wesker’s powers have been enhanced, providing more versatility and effectiveness in various situations.
These changes not only make Wesker a more formidable force on the field but also add an extra layer of strategy to his playstyle. It’s exciting to see how these adjustments will impact gameplay!
- First of all, now Wesker has three dashes instead of two. This makes it easier to catch survivors and allows you to correct the mistakes.
- Moreover, the time to perform certain actions (like vaulting) when you use the innate skill was decreased. So, now survivors have less time to distance themselves from the killer. This can determine whether they can make another loop or run to the next safe place.
Choosing to play as Wesker grants you access to potent chase mechanisms, however, be mindful that there’s a chance he may become stuck carrying a survivor on his back. The decision of whether or not it’s a risk worth taking is yours to make.
