„Exotic” expansion to popular strategy brings great empires out of history graveyard. HoI4: Graveyard of Empires with release date

A fresh addition is soon coming to Hearts of Iron IV, focusing on the enchanting areas of Asia – more precisely, British India, Iran, Iraq, and Afghanistan. In this update, we’ll also introduce a new campaign that chronicles the power struggle in the territories stretching from the Euphrates River to the Bay of Bengal.

Starting March 4th, you can purchase the “Graveyard of Empires” expansion either individually (the exact price is still undisclosed) or as a component of the Expansion Pass priced at $36.99.

As a gamer, I’m eagerly anticipating what lies ahead in this expansion. For us, it means unique narrative paths tailored specifically for the nations mentioned. These focus trees will center around resisting the encroachment of European powers, offering an engaging and immersive experience as we navigate through this new content.

  1. Iran will oppose the domination of the USSR and the British Empire. If we succeed, we will get a chance to establish the Persian Empire.
  2. The British Indies will focus on internal tensions between independence movements and the authorities. Depending on the decisions made, we will be able to bring about the revival of the East India Company or the Mughal Empire.
  3. Iraq will focus on the religious-ethnic conflict. As part of its focus tree, we will choose whether to join the allied countries and whether to cultivate the doctrine of pan-Arabism. Oil fields are to be an important element of the gameplay.
  4. Afghanistan will have significant freedom in choosing its path: it can choose neutrality or development, leading to the region’s industrialization and the rise of a new power.

Although this is not all that’s to come, there’s more to explore in Graveyard of Empires. Among the new experiences, you’ll encounter 3D models of vehicles from each nation and even elephants.
