How to rescue Tibor in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, during the Miri Fajta mission, you’ll assist Marika, the daughter of the Nomad Camp’s leader, in healing her lover so they can rejoin the camp. Eventually, she will ask you for her father’s amulet, but he is reluctant to part with it.

Initially, the Voivode won’t hand over the amulet to you. Instead, he wants you to accomplish a task first – rescuing his son, Tibor. It seems that some people from the town of Semine have kidnapped Tibor. Here is the location of Tibor and instructions on how to free him from his captors in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.

How to find Tibor in KCD2

Tibor is presently being detained at a farm owned by a Saddler, which is situated in Semine. To locate the Saddler, head towards the southwestern part of the town. You can acquire this information from any locals you meet here, such as housemaids, hired hands, or named NPCs. Inquiring about the captive nomad in town will prompt them to disclose his location and provide a new map marker for your reference.

Should you attempt to get close to individuals near the barn where Tibor resides, whether they are Hired Hands or other workers, they will show irritation and inform you that the area is private. Yet, if you’re swift in using your interaction options, you can still engage them in conversation.

With Tibor’s whereabouts now clear, you face two options: Try to get the Saddler’s laborers to disclose his location and the means for his rescue, or stealthily enter the barn undetected. Both paths come with risks if not handled delicately or if persuasion efforts fall short, but each option offers its own advantages.

Persuade the Hired Hand

You have two choices: Chat with either Guildsman Janek or the Farmhand close to the barn. I often find the Farmhand in this area, but sometimes it might be Guildsman Janek instead. Regardless of who you meet, you can communicate with them and ask about Tibor’s circumstances. If you request his release, you’ll face some Speech challenges:

You have two options here. You can either talk to Guildsman Janek or the Farmhand near the barn. I usually run into the Farmhand here, but it might be Guildsman Janek instead. No matter who you meet, you can engage in conversation with them and ask about Tibor’s situation. If you ask for him to be set free, you’ll have to pass some Speech tests:

  • Let him go, now! (Intimidation)
  • Do you want more blood on your hands? (Persuasion)
  • What if I paid you?
  • I was just asking.

As a gamer, I find myself facing three different approaches in this predicament. If I manage to pull off the first two challenges successfully, the hint about the key to Tibor’s imprisoned chamber being hidden inside the barn’s crate will be revealed to me. They’ll turn a blind eye while I set free Tibor, giving me ample opportunity to execute the rescue and make progress in the quest. Additionally, I’ll reap the rewards of increased experience points as my Speech skill level rises.

Consequences come with failing, specifically if you fail these specific options, it might irritate either the Hired Hand or Janek, leading them and nearby workers to attack you. If your combat abilities are strong enough, you can leverage this situation to boost your stats slightly. However, if your confidence isn’t high, it’s usually not wise to take that risk and effort. It’s often better to succeed in the check or find a way to quietly enter the barn and locate them yourself instead.

Sneak into the barn

If you prefer not to engage with the Saddler’s staff, there’s an alternative route for rescuing Tibor. Instead of approaching from the main entrance, try slipping into the open barn window on the southern side of the farm. After circling around the property until you’re facing north, locate the barn and peek inside through a window to find Tibor. Simply jump in through the same window to save him from his confinement.

As a sneaky explorer, I must warn you that venturing into this secret location is technically off-limits, as it could lead to run-ins with NPCs or guards who might land me in hot water. Luckily, this area isn’t bustling with activity, so if I keep a low profile and avoid lingering too long or attempting an exit through the door, I should be able to slip by unnoticed. If I manage to free Tibor using this method, he’ll make his escape out the same window, giving me the chance to trail him into the woods and advance in the Miri Fajta quest.
