Fox Corp Sets John Nallen as President and Chief Operating Officer

Fox Corporation announced on Monday that they have appointed John Nallen as both President and Chief Operating Officer for their media division, effective until June 2028.

At present, Nallen is part of the chairman’s team at Fox, while earlier, he held the position of the company’s chief operating officer.

His recent promotion to both President and Chief Operating Officer occurs shortly after Fox released their most recent quarterly financial reports last week, and as Fox broadcasted the Super Bowl over the weekend.

John has played a crucial role in the development of Fox over time, and I’ve had the pleasure of working closely with him for many years,” said Lachlan Murdoch, CEO and executive chair of Fox Corp. “We greatly appreciate his continued contributions and his strategic insights, and we are delighted that he will continue to contribute to the ongoing success and profitability of Fox in his roles as president and COO.

Prior to Disney’s acquisition of a significant portion of 21st Century Fox’s assets in March 2019, which left the remaining “new” Fox as an independent entity, Nallen served as Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at 21st Century Fox. He assumed this position in 2013 and was responsible for managing the company’s financial affairs, including capital market deals and mergers and acquisitions.

Before this, Nallen held the position of Executive Vice President and Deputy Chief Financial Officer at 21CF since the year 2001. Nallen started working with 21CF (formerly known as News Corporation) back in 1995. Prior to that, he was a partner leading Arthur Andersen’s media and entertainment division.
