Spain’s Film Factory Entertainment has expanded its growing collection of high-profile, high-budget films with Berlin sales appeal by securing the international distribution rights for the psychological mystery thriller “Reversion,” featuring Jaime Lorente, best known as the complex character Denver from “Money Heist.
At the upcoming European Film Market in Berlin, Film Factory Entertainment is set to unveil the initial teaser for “Reversion”.
In an attempt to distinguish themselves amidst a highly competitive market, the series “Reversion” features Manu Vega (“With the Years I have Left”), Belen Rueda, who was the lead in J.A. Bayona’s first film “The Orphanage”, and Fernando Cayo, known for his role as Coronel Tamayo in “Money Heist”.

To set themselves apart in a market that’s bursting at the seams, the show “Reversion” boasts Manu Vega (“With the Years I have Left”), Belen Rueda from J.A. Bayona’s debut film “The Orphanage”, and Fernando Cayo, famed for his role in “Money Heist” as Coronel Tamayo.
Written collaboratively by Marco Legarde (“UFO Factory”) and Frank Ariza (“With the Years I have Left”), under the guidance of debut director Jacob Santana, “Reversion” centers around Mario (Lorente), a character who relocates with his parents and elder brother David (Vega) to a fresh residence.
On a gloomy rain-soaked afternoon, Mario observes as his brother is brutally abducted. Following a nerve-wracking 19-day ordeal of anxious anticipation, David reappears, devoid of any recollections regarding his experiences. Subtle inconsistencies fuel Mario’s suspicions that the person in front of him might not be his brother as he once knew him. As Mario embarks on a quest to uncover the truth behind the kidnapping, the revelations he encounters will challenge his perception of reality, morality, and the world at large.
The movie plunges us into a complex maze of hidden truths, surprises, and ethical quandaries that may leave you doubting all you previously believed.
The movie has been labeled as a gripping psychological puzzle, packed with unexpected shifts, similar to the style of “Old Boy” – perhaps due to its sudden bursts of action – and “The Invisible Guest,” on account of its numerous plot twists, confusions about characters’ identities, and intricate storyline.
Reversion” draws inspiration from the 2017 South Korean blockbuster movie, “Forgotten,” which was both written and directed by, as well as produced by B.A. Entertainment Production.
The movie titled “Reversion,” a collaboration between Spain and the Dominican Republic, is being created by Frank Ariza, Carmen Aguado, and Desiree Reyes. Right now, it’s undergoing post-production. This production is jointly done by AF Films from Spain and Ebribari from the Dominican Republic.
Vicente Canales, director at Film Factory Entertainment, expressed his excitement about resuming work on another significant project, following the success of projects like ‘The Invisible Guest.’ He’s confident that ‘Reversion’ will also captivate audiences in a similar way,” said Vicente Canales.
On Film Factory’s lineup for Berlin, the psychological thriller “Reversion” has been added alongside “The Talent,” a high-profile film set at a party. This movie stars Ester Expósito, one of the breakout sensations from the popular series “Elite.” Additionally, Fernando León de Aranoa, writer and director of “The Good Boss,” is involved in scripting this project.
