In Mountain Dew‘s 2025 Super Bowl advertisement, Seal metaphorically soars to unrealistic peaks, showcasing his likeness. The brief, 30-second ad depicts the 15-time Grammy nominee in a realistic seal form, stranded on Baja Beach, where he serenades Becky G with a version of “Kiss from a Lime,” a reinterpretation of his Grammy-winning song “Kiss from a Rose,” inspired by Baja Blast.
Seal expressed great joy while crafting fresh lyrics and enjoyed working together with the team to make this advertising project exciting and full of surprises. In a statement to Adweek, he stated that. The “Kiss from a Lime” advertisement, set to air during the second quarter of the game, was developed by the creative agency Goodby Silverstein & Partners and helmed by director Taika Waititi.
Starring alongside Seal and Becky G is Mountain Dew’s latest brand ambassador, the Mountain Dude, who made his debut last year. The duo of Mountain Dude and Becky G find themselves at Baja Beach following a sip of Baja Blast, making this the second time Mountain Dew has centered its Super Bowl advertisement around this popular flavor.
Becky G and Seal are joined by Mountain Dew’s new representative, the Mountain Dude, who was unveiled last year. After taking a sip of Baja Blast, they both mysteriously end up at Baja Beach, marking the second occasion that Mountain Dew has chosen to feature the flavor in its Super Bowl commercials.
Mark Kirkham, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Pepsi and Sparkling Brands, expressed that it’s truly thrilling for the company to have Mountain Dew Baja Blast involved in the Super Bowl for a second consecutive year, given the significant cultural influence of the event.
This year in New Orleans, Mountain Dew is organizing two events: “Spot the Baja Blast Campervan” and “Escape to Baja Beach.” At the Baja Blast Campervan, attendees can sample Baja Blast, sing karaoke, and get free t-shirts and beads. Escape to Baja Beach is happening at The Frat House bar, allowing visitors to interact with the Mountain Dew mascot, affectionately known as “The Mountain Dude.
