How to get Finality’s Auger
The Auger reward is exclusive to the Sundered Doctrine dungeon. To gain entry, you’ll first need the Final Shape Dungeon Key. If you haven’t acquired it through a previous Destiny 2 expansion purchase, you can obtain it within the game for 2000 Silver, which equates to approximately $20 and grants access to the Sundered Doctrine dungeon as well.
Similar to other Exotic items found in dungeons, the Finality’s Auger is acquired as a random drop from the final boss of the dungeon. However, unlike certain other Exotics, you’ll likely have to repeatedly complete Sundered Doctrine until you obtain it.
One method to ensure obtaining Finality’s Auger is by successfully completing the Sundered Doctrine during the contest period. This contest period is only accessible during the initial 48 hours following a dungeon’s release. It’s a competitive environment where teams strive to be the first group to finish the dungeon. In this mode, player levels are capped below the suggested level for each encounter, ensuring that everyone faces similar difficulties, making it more challenging than regular play. If you manage to complete Sundered Doctrine in contest mode, you’ll receive Finality’s Auger as a reward.
If you prefer playing the dungeon without Contest mode or want a better chance at obtaining Finality’s Auger, consider enhancing your chances. Previous dungeons have boosted Exotic drop rates through Triumphs, and we anticipate the same here. We’ll update this guide with more information once the dungeon is accessible.
How to get the Finality’s Auger Catalyst
Similar to past exotic weapons, discovering the gun is merely the initial phase. Just as with other dungeons, the Catalyst for Finality’s Auger is expected to require solving mysteries, achieving Triumphs, and successfully completing the dungeon on Master difficulty alongside a team.
As a seasoned gamer, I can’t wait to share my findings on locating and activating the Catalyst for Finality’s Auger! Once we’ve conquered the Master difficulty level and unearthed a foolproof strategy, you’ll be the first to know the ins and outs of this exciting quest. Stay tuned!
As a gamer, I can tell you that wielding The Finality’s Auger feels even more powerful with the Bait and Switch weapon perk. Here’s what happens: when I swap between my two weapons to dish out some damage, then return to The Finality’s Auger, it unleashes extra firepower for a brief moment. This bonus damage applies not only to The Finality’s Auger but also to the turret from Runescribe’s Forge and the painted mode of Runescribe’s Beacon. To get the most out of this perk, I should first use my other two weapons to deal some damage, then switch back to The Finality’s Auger to activate its special abilities.
Can you farm Finality’s Auger?
In certain Destiny 2 game modes, you can repeatedly play them to obtain the desired loot, a process often referred to as farming for specific equipment. However, it’s common that Exotics from newly introduced dungeons cannot be farmed. Instead, each character is given only one chance per week to acquire an Exotic item like Finality’s Auger. So, if you play on all three characters, you’ll get three chances every week. Once you’ve used all these opportunities, you’ll need to wait for the weekly reset at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET on Tuesday to try again.
If you aren’t lucky enough to get the Exotic straight away, you can always pay Xur a visit.
What does Finality’s Auger do?
Finality’s Augur, a Solar-powered linear fusion rifle, has a unique feature called Runescribe’s Forge. With this perk, you can prepare a turret by keeping the Reload key pressed for three rounds of Heavy ammo. Once you aim upward and fire, the turret will materialize. It targets nearby threats in a manner similar to a Warlock’s Bleak Watcher, simply pointing at whatever hostile is closeby. After some time, the turret will automatically disappear.
The additional benefit that impacts the turret is known as Runescribe’s Beacon. With this active, players can mark targets using their weapon, and the turret will grow stronger against the selected target. By keeping down the Reload button, players can alternate between laser mode and standard mode for their weapon when a turret is operational. If there is no turret in action, pressing and holding Reload will instead set up a turret to fire.
