As a movie critic embarking on a new review, I’m eager to delve into the upcoming production where Hugh Jackman plays Robin Hood. The official synopsis hints that our protagonist is grappling with his past, having led a life marred by crime and violence. Injured and left in the care of an enigmatic woman, he encounters an opportunity for redemption – a chance to escape the shackles of his tumultuous past. Filming commences this week in the lush landscapes of Ireland.
Lyrical Media is bankrolling the entire production of this film. Ryder Picture Company, led by Aaron Ryder and Andrew Swett, are producing under their own banner, with Lyrical Media and Jackman also involved in production. Jon Rosenberg and Natalie Sellers from Lyrical Media, along with Rama Gottumukkala and Sarnoski, will serve as executive producers for the project.
24th Studio obtained the domestic distribution rights for the movie from Cannes, while True Brit Entertainment handles its release in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Worldwide Management Entertainment represents the international rights to the film.
Bill Skarsgård initially garnered worldwide acclaim for his portrayal of Pennywise the Clown in “It” and “It: Chapter Two,” inspired by Stephen King’s renowned horror novel. Since then, he has demonstrated a wide array of acting abilities, climaxing with his latest role as Count Orlok in “Nosferatu,” which became one of the top-grossing horror films of 2024.
After his Emmy-winning act in “The White Lotus,” Bartlett secured significant roles in “The Last of Us” and “Welcome to Chippendales.” Up next for him are film appearances in “Opus” by A24 and “At The Sea,” where he’ll be working alongside Amy Adams.
Over the course of his budding career, Jupe has amassed an impressive portfolio, showcased by notable roles in television shows such as “The Night Manager” and film franchises like “A Quiet Place.” Additionally, he delivered a powerful performance in “Honey Boy,” which earned him a nomination for an Independent Spirit Award.
actors Skarsgård, Bartlett, and Jupe are all managed by the talent agency WME. Additionally, Skarsgård is represented by Agentfirman and Magnolia Entertainment, while Bartlett is managed by Anonymous Content. Lastly, Jupe has Brillstein Entertainment Partners as his representation.
