This weekend marks the beginning of the weekend in Destiny 2, and just as expected, Xur has set up his stall once more within the Tower. As we delve into the latest Heresy episode, it could prove beneficial to stop by Xur, our trusty arms dealer, to check if he’s offering any Exotic or legendary-grade gear that might complement the array of new weapons unveiled in this update. For additional insights on navigating the Heresy, you can explore these tips for optimizing your Guardian’s build and understanding how the new Nether activity operates. Let us now scrutinize Xur’s offerings this weekend more closely.
This week, Xur is providing the catalysts for enhancing exotic weapons Coldheart and Sturm, as well as exotic armor options: Hunters can get Khepri’s Sting, Titans can collect Antaeus Wards, and Warlocks can purchase Vesper of Radius. If you need an exotic weapon, Xur currently has Hawkmoon, Arbalest, Coldheart, D.A.R.C.I, and he’s changed his usual exotic class item to offer an exotic vehicle instead, called The Xurfboard.
Among all the wards, Anataeus Wards stand out as excellent choices for Titans due to their impressive total value of 69, boasting high stats in resilience, strength, and recovery. On the other hand, Vesper of Radius, an Exotic weapon for Warlocks, offers a 30-roll in recovery, enhancing healing capabilities during Nether activities when equipped.
Xur Location
Start at the Tower and take a turn to the right after Banshee-44. Proceed down the staircase, follow the hallway, and when you reach the Bazaar, veer right into the nearby alleyway. You’ll discover Xur there in his designated nook, prepared to sell you his new items if you have enough Strange Coins on hand. For information on acquiring this currency, refer to our guide on earning it, which involves performing certain rituals.

In The Final Shape series, Xur has revamped his business approach. Specifically, he’ll offer two different Exotic weapon catalysts weekly. These choices will include older catalysts that were previously obtained through random drops before The Witch Queen expansion. However, he won’t be selling any catalysts linked to quests, Exotic missions, Season Pass Exotics, campaign Exotics, preorder Exotics, raid Exotics, or dungeon Exotics.
In addition to Hawkmoon, Xur will offer three randomly selected Exotic weapons for purchase. He continues to stock Legendary armor, weapons, and engrams that can produce random items from those collections. Similar to other vendors, Xur now has a reputation system – the more you buy from him, the more rewards you’ll receive in terms of reputation points, including an Exotic Cipher after each rank reset.
Beyond that point, accumulating 47 Strange Coins in Xur’s shop triggers his loyalty rewards. This benefit, called Strange Favor, lasts for 11 days and can be built up to three instances – one per week. This allows you extra opportunities to garner additional Strange Coins from activities that dish out this currency. You’ll find Xur in Destiny 2 every weekend, starting with the daily reset at 10 AM Pacific Time or 1 PM Eastern Time each Friday.
