Players of Sea of Thieves need to stay vigilant when Season 15 commences on February 20, as two formidable megalodons will be lurking in the waters. However, if pirates manage to conquer these terrifying sea beasts, they’ll find new locations within the game world where they can offload their megalodon meat.
In Season 15, known as “Wild Things,” the Hunter’s Call trading company, which deals in fish, cooked meat, and other goods in exchange for rewards and gold, is set to grow more extensive. This season will bring these vendors from their secluded Seaposts across the sea into the game’s main Outposts, as suggested in a blog post from Sea of Thieves.
In a recent update from Sea of Thieves, two new versions of the Megalodon have been introduced: the Fearsome Redmaw and the Intimidating Barnacled Dread. A X-post from their account showcases a Megalodon adorned with what seems to be yellow and purple crystals. According to the blog post, these new Megalodons possess formidable new abilities that will test even the most seasoned pirates.

Adventurers will discover fresh journeys, a weapon for hunting called a spear, “wildlife yet unbroken,” and additional elements in the game. Astute Sea of Thieves watchers have spotted a striped pig version in a sneak peek, fueling rumors that players might be able to keep pigs as companions, and a treasure chest adorned with the Hunter’s Call symbol, suggesting new categories of loot.
Instead of other trading companies in Sea of Thieves, Hunter’s Call is distinct due to its absence of an emissary flag or special voyages. Players eagerly anticipate that Season 15 might enhance the Hunter’s Call progression system and provide more engaging content for the endgame.
As a thrilled fan, I can’t wait for me and my pirate crew to dive into the Dark Fortress Raids starting from Valentine’s Day, February 14! These limited-time events offer us the chance to fight Phantoms at Sea Forts and gather a mountain of treasure. Fingers crossed that Season 15 of Sea of Thieves launches more smoothly than the last one, where the developers at Rare had to momentarily retract some new features due to technical hiccups. Let’s set sail for adventure!
