The upcoming major update for Final Fantasy XIV, named “Seekers of Eternity” (Patch 7.2), is slated for release in late March 2025. This patch will introduce a fresh set of Main Scenario Quests, further unfolding the saga of Wuk Lamat and our Hero of Light as part of the Dawntrail storyline.

In typical fashion for Final Fantasy XIV, fresh content is continually being introduced through multiple channels. For starters, players will encounter a new dungeon – the Underkeep – to explore and conquer. Although only parts of it have been hinted at thus far, its design appears to share similarities with Alexandria Castle from FFIX, a game that shares a significant link with FFXIV’s most recent expansion.
At exactly 29 minutes into the stream, a familiar image appeared – the upper level of the castle, a place I vividly recall sprinting across as Zidane in Final Fantasy IX, a game close to my heart as an avid fan.
Adventurers will additionally encounter a fresh Raid, the Arcadian Cruiserweight class, ready for daring Warriors of Light to conquer. A new Test, titled Recollection, will also be introduced, and the PvP mode Frontline (Secure) is returning with some exciting enhancements.
I’m thrilled to share that in the upcoming Patch 7.2, there will be fresh quests tied to the Allied Society, focusing primarily on the intriguing Mamool Ja faction. Additionally, we’ll see new types of Allagan Tomestones making their debut – the Allagan Tomestones of Mathematics!
