Notable figures from France Télévisions, ITV, M6, Warner Bros. Discovery, and ARTE are slated to speak at the 7th installment of the Lille Dialogues, happening on March 27 within the industry segment of the television festival Series Mania.
A full-day global conference gathers prominent figures from the TV industry, fostering international collaboration and collective contemplation on the current hurdles this sector is encountering.
Following an opening speech from Anne Bouverot, President of Series Mania, the 2025 event promises panel discussions and keynote speeches by prominent industry leaders, delving into the pivotal impact of creativity within the global audiovisual sector. This time around, Lille Dialogues will focus on Post Peak TV: Navigating Tough Times Ahead, encompassing topics like AI investment and shifting viewer preferences.
Following a phase of excitement, the audiovisual sector is currently grappling with three significant issues according to Laurence Herszberg, its founder and director. Initially, there’s a financial struggle due to fierce competition over advertising funds. Secondly, this advertising predicament leads to a social challenge, considering the growing preference of younger demographics for social media platforms. Lastly, we’re experiencing an industrial transformation, fueled by the profound influence of artificial intelligence.
I’m excited about the ongoing Lille Dialogues, a valuable space where influential figures in the audiovisual sector come together for enlightening debates, collaborative problem-solving, and stimulating dialogue. I can’t wait to explore these themes even deeper!
2025 Discussion Topics at Series Mania:
1. The Effect of Advertising Investments on Content Production: What are the resulting trends?
2. Leap into the Future – Artificial Intelligence Evolution: What changes can we expect in our field within the next five years?
