Each year, Electronic Arts (EA) typically shares its predictions for the Madden NFL Super Bowl matchup prior to the game. However, this year, EA hasn’t made its forecast yet. Historically, Madden NFL has been correct in predicting the Super Bowl winner only six times out of the last 13 years, which equates to a 46% accuracy rate. While the success rate varies from season to season, Madden NFL did correctly predict the exact score for Super Bowl 49 when the New England Patriots defeated the Seattle Seahawks 28-24.
It might have caught your attention that Christian McCaffrey, who graces the cover of Madden NFL 25, isn’t a member of either the Kansas City Chiefs or Philadelphia Eagles. Instead, McCaffrey represents the San Francisco 49ers as their running back, and this season, he’s had some time off due to injury, stirring up discussions about the infamous Madden Curse. However, it’s essential to remember that football is a demanding sport where most players face injuries at some point. Despite the rumors surrounding the Madden NFL cover, Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase has publicly declared that he understands the curse and isn’t interested in becoming the cover star for Madden NFL.
It’s expected that Madden NFL 26 will come out this summer; however, Electronic Arts (EA) hasn’t officially confirmed it yet. Despite Madden NFL not being available on a Nintendo console for 13 years, EA is quite hopeful about the series returning to the Switch 2 platform.
