Space Marine 2 Datavault Update Brings New Difficulty And PvP Map

Space Marine 2 has received an upgrade called the Datavault Update from Focus Entertainment. This includes additional free content, a tougher challenge level, a brand new location, along with enhancements to improve your gaming experience overall.

The standout feature of the latest update is the Datavault, where gamers engage in Ordeals to gather data on enemies, which they can later swap for Requisition Points, cosmetics, and armor. In the Eternal War game mode, a fresh Necron-themed map called Tomb has been introduced, and players may encounter a new adversary known as the Tyranid Biovore, capable of dealing damage from both near and far distances.

Additionally, there’s a new sixth difficulty level titled “Absolute”, accompanied by several other adjustments. Players have the freedom to decide whether they want to participate in cross-play during PvP battles and swap their Armory Data for Requisition Points. PC users can also customize their Field of View (FOV) with a freshly introduced slider.

In conclusion, those with Season Passes will also gain access to the Raven Guard aesthetic set and the Salamanders Champion bundle. The Raven Guard cosmetic set encompasses a Mark VI “Corvus” helmet and over 40 other items showcasing the Raven Guard Successor Chapters’ aesthetics. The Salamanders Champion pack offers a new Sniper-class skin for characters and a Bolt Sniper Rifle skin as well.

Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 has been released on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. In our review of Space Marine 2 at TopMob, we mentioned that it is a worthy follow-up to the 2011 original. The action remains as intense and graphic as before, but it’s also more thoughtful and tactile, resulting in an overall more rewarding gaming experience.
