Harrison Ford Praises Troy Baker And The Lack Of AI For Indiana Jones And The Great Circle

In the latest video game titled Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, it wasn’t Harrison Ford but Troy Baker who portrayed the iconic character of Indiana Jones. The seasoned actor has expressed his approval, stating that Baker delivered an outstanding performance, breathing life into the character, and there was no need for AI to do so.

He told The Wall Street Journal, “Artificial Intelligence isn’t necessary to swipe my spirit; you can accomplish it for small change with clever thoughts and skill, instead.” [Baker] demonstrated exceptional talent without the aid of AI.

AI technology was employed in the film Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny for the purpose of digitally rejuvenating Harrison Ford‘s character. The effects were impressive, but the movie received mixed reviews from critics. When asked about the film’s reception, Ford responded candidly, “Things just happen,” expressing his belief that the story was worth telling and expressing satisfaction with having been part of the production.

His intention is to continue maintaining a facade until he no longer cares about the outcome, at which point he will sell off his possessions gradually during his lifetime. Essentially, he stated that there would be no need for him as someone else will take over the responsibilities and roles he once held.

Initially, Todd Howard, head of Bethesda, expressed skepticism towards the notion of Baker portraying Indiana Jones in The Great Circle. However, he eventually warmed up to the idea. Recently, at The Game Awards in December, both Ford and Baker made an appearance together on stage. There, Ford commended The Great Circle and Baker’s performance.

4 million people worldwide have joined the player base of The Great Circle, with its upcoming launch on PlayStation 5 scheduled for this coming spring.
