How to Unlock Special Nuls in Hello Kitty Island Adventure
Here’s a guide to help you uncover these unique features: You typically need to finish particular tasks or reach specific achievements in order to access them. This guide should assist you with unlocking each one.
Collector Hat Nul
Using the Collector Hat makes material gathering a breeze, but before that, you must finish the Terra Nul quest series. Throughout this questline, Pochacco will acquaint you with the “awesome” Collector Hat. He’ll inform you that putting this hat on a Nul causes them to collect materials for you. Once he presents you with the Collector Hat as a gift, you’ll then have to locate a Nul positioned outside Small Gift Big Smile and place the hat on them.
Following this, you are free to select any item you prefer for the Nul to retrieve from across the island. The chosen items will appear in the Collection Box by the Collector Hat Nul the day after, providing an effortless means of accumulating supplies, as you won’t have to do all the hard work yourself.
Curator Nuls
On this island, there are several Curator Nuls, each responsible for different sections of the Nature Preserve. To initiate critter donations, you first need to accomplish the quest called “Open the Nature Preserve”. This mission starts when you encounter Keroppi in Spooky Swamp. He’ll share his discovery – the Nature Preserve – and request your help in its official opening. Your initial task is to find the “Bog Critter List”, which can be discovered at the base of a large tree situated near the Nature Preserve.
Initially, you can’t contribute creatures straight away. Firstly, you need a ‘Net’, and for that, you’ll have to go see Badtz-Maru. He will share the crafting recipe with you and demonstrate how to catch your first creature. Once you’ve done that, completing the task of ‘Restoring the Nature Preserve’ will enable you to gather the remaining Critter Lists, allowing you to begin donating creatures from Friendship Island.
As a gamer, here’s how I might rephrase that:
To get my hands on the Merry Meadows Critter Corral, a fun new hangout spot, I’ve got to do a bit of gardening. First, I need to find a Giant Seed and plant it in the ground. After that, daily watering is key. Keep an eye on that seedling!
The Critter Corral is nestled near my favorite creation station in the Meadows, right next to the fast-travel mailbox, but you’ll need to climb up four levels from the Meadows Temple to reach it. Getting to the temple itself requires a short journey down from the Merry Meadows Overlook.
The first Giant Seed is just waiting to be discovered in the Merry Meadows Fields, while the second one comes as a reward for completing the Care Packages quest (once you hit friendship level 12 with Wish Me Mell). Lastly, the third seed can be found hidden inside the Electric Introductions puzzle room, tucked away in a treasure chest. Good luck on your adventure!
To access the Cloud Island Critter Pen, you first need to finish the mission called “Catching a Cloudragon.” This journey begins when you come across Kiki on Cloud Island, who shares his struggle with capturing a Cloudragon. Following this encounter, you’ll be tasked with speaking to all the island residents. When you locate Keroppi, he will offer his assistance. To complete the quest, use either your Net or Bubble Wand to capture a Cloudragon and present it to Kiki. Upon doing so, the Cloud Island Critter Corral will be unlocked, enabling you to contribute critters to the nearby Nul collection.
Game Nuls
The Nuls games are prepared and accessible for your play once you explore each location. Unlike certain other Nuls, these aren’t hidden behind quests – instead, they are easily findable with the right knowledge of their whereabouts. In case you’re uncertain about their locations, refer to the table at the top of this guide for details.
Ghost Tour Guide Nuls & the Witch Nul
In the chilling surroundings of the Ghost Tour Ride at Spooky Swamp, Nuls are your guides. However, before hopping on this spooky train ride, you must accomplish a mission first – Reawakening the Haunted Swamp. This adventure starts after conversing with Kuromi, who requests assistance in rejuvenating the attractions of the swamp. Upon speaking to her, she’ll direct you to the Haunted Mansion, where she hands over your initial reward: a Green Power Crystal. Place this crystal on the podium situated beside the mansion, and it will summon Chococat and TOPHAT. Your objective will then be to ascend the mansion to its peak.
On the top floor, you’ll come across the Witch Dress stored inside a trunk. Subsequently, you have to solve the 10 sequential Haunted Mansion Puzzle Rooms, which will ultimately open the door to the 11th room. In this room, you’ll discover the second power crystal that needs to be placed on the podium. Following this, locate three levers close to the Ghost Tour Ride to dispel the fog and switch on all the lights. Once everything is illuminated, you can enjoy a ride on the Ghost Tour, which will then unveil the Treasure Trove. Inside, you’ll find both the Witch Hat and the third power crystal hidden in treasure chests.
To stand upon the platform where the last power crystal lies, ensure you’re donning the complete Witch costume. The watchful guardian, Witch Nul, will permit passage only to those correctly attired. Upon igniting the final power crystal, TOPHAT will recover a fragment of his lost memory, and you’ll gain the blueprints for the Decorative Green Power Crystal as a reward. Interestingly, the first Witch Nul vanishes post-admission, but another one can be encountered within the Witch’s Hut, in association with Kuromi, at a later stage.
Boat Nuls
Boats labeled as Nuls can be used immediately without any need for unlocking. Specifically, the Rainbow Reef Nul boat navigates Friendship Island’s inner coastline, docking at every pier that faces inward. Conversely, the Spooky Swamp Nul boat follows the meandering rivers within the swamp.
Photo Op Nuls
Initially, Nuls become noticeable during the “Picture Day” mission. The journey commences by encountering “My Melody” outside her store, where she requests a photograph with you in front of Small Gift Big Smile. Subsequently, she extends an invitation for you to join her at Seaside Resort for another photo opportunity.
At the resort, you’ll encounter the Photo Op Nul who will snap a shot featuring you and My Melody. Following this, Pochacco will join in for another group photo. Later, My Melody will lead you on a quest to discover four more Photo Op stations scattered around the island (use the map at the top of this guide for specific locations).
- Potion Pictures at Spooky Swamp
- Old Town Pose at Gemstone Mountain
- Lazy Lava Looks at Mount Hothead
- Shipwreck Selfies at Rainbow Reef
Once all of these locations have been visited, all Photo Op areas will be permanently unlocked.
Propeller Hat Nul
To free this Nul, you should finish the “Cinnamoroll Has Gone Missing” quest. This mission can be undertaken once your friendship level with Cinnamoroll reaches 14. The adventure begins when you encounter Hangyodon at the fast-travel mailbox of the Comedy Club. He’ll inform you about peculiar noises emanating from the mailbox, and upon closer inspection, you’ll find that Cinnamoroll is stuck inside.
In this adventure, Cinnamoroll requests you to locate his missing “Mailbox Key” which can be found on the “aircraft”. Before departing, he’ll hand over a “Propeller Hat” for the Nul standing near the Resort Plaza fast-travel mailbox. Once you place this hat on the Nul, they will transport you to the aircraft. Inside, search for the Mailbox Key located in the back of the plane. After returning it to Cinnamoroll, you’ll receive a Propeller Hat as a reward and gain unrestricted access to travel by airplane.
Sprinkler Hat Nul
To open the Sprinkler Hat Nuul, you must accomplish the “Friends of the Flowers” mission. This mission can only be accessed once you’ve finished both the “Terra Nuul” and “Green Thumbs” missions.
Mell, your dear friend, will request aid in caring for her blossoms. Following a conversation with Melody and Tuxedosam, you’ll obtain the blueprints for the Sprinkler Hat. Once crafted, you can position it on any Nul you prefer, and they’ll automatically water all flowers within their region whenever prompted to do so.
In addition to the hats listed, feel free to adorn each Nul character in Hello Kitty’s Adventure Island with any hat from Tuxedosam or discovered on the game islands. These additional hats do not have specific functions, but they add a touch of uniqueness to your characters by customizing their appearances.
