2025 will see Netflix introducing a five-part Chinese series collection, featuring prominent actors across various genres – from chilling supernatural suspense to heartwarming romantic farces.

Actors Shu Qi and Lee Sinje, renowned on the international film scene, will first appear in Netflix’s series “The Resurrected” (coming in Q3). This gripping drama unfolds as a dark thriller where two frantic mothers bring back to life a scam lord who was thought to be deceased, with the aim of seeking vengeance for their kidnapped daughters.

Another notable production is “If I Hadn’t Seen the Sun” (Q4), featuring Tseng Jing-hua and Moon Lee. This project hails from the minds behind “Someday or One Day.” The two-part supernatural thriller unfolds as a documentarian experiences peculiar dreams and ghostly interactions with a deceased high school student’s spirit, after conducting an interview with a serial killer in prison.

This production comes from the same team as “Someday or One Day.” It’s a two-part mystery involving supernatural elements, where a documentarian starts having odd dreams and meets a ghost after talking to a serial killer in prison. The ghost belongs to a high school student who has passed away.

Right now, you can catch the historical drama titled “Perfect Match,” starring Lu Yu-xiao and Wang Xing-yue. The story unfolds during the Northern Song Dynasty and follows Madam Li’s family as they build a tea house, all while searching for fitting partners for their daughters to marry.

In 2025 for Valentine’s Day, Netflix will debut the romantic comedy “I Am Married…But!”, featuring Alice Ko and Jasper Liu. This contemporary series delves into the intricacies of modern marriage by following I-ling, a woman who is considering divorce while residing with her in-laws. Unexpectedly, she finds herself attracted to someone she meets on a dating app.

Completing the lineup is the series “Forget You Not” (Q2), which represents the first creation by acclaimed artist Rene Liu. The production features Hsieh Ying-xuan as the leading actress, and Wallace Huo makes a special appearance. This story revolves around an ambitious stand-up comedian who struggles to balance her professional aspirations with divorce and caring for an elderly father.
