In a recent conversation, actor Tramell Tillman (from “Severance”) has been delving into the major issues faced by his character Milchick during Season 2, and it turns out that these complications stem from Cobel.

Since its debut on January 7, 2025, The Severance Podcast has proven to be a valuable resource for information.

Enthusiastic fan Jon Stewart recently visited to discuss an error in the Severance Season 1 finale. During the premiere of Season 2, the actor who plays Mr. Milchick, Tramell Tillman, shares insights about the major challenge his character will face moving forward. So, beware of SPOILERS ahead…

How Cobel’s departure puts pressure on Mr. Milchick

In the finale of Season 1, Cobel was let go, resulting in Milchick taking on greater duties at the beginning of Season 2. This increase in responsibilities also means an increased potential for mistakes, which according to Travis Tillman, poses a challenge for his character.

According to Tillman, “Milchick isn’t just dedicated to the company; he’s driven and ambitious.” He aspires for greatness, and when Cobel had a chance to change things, she declined. This reminds me of Season 1, where Cobel wondered if Milchick ratted her out, a question that remains unanswered even now, which I find intriguing.

Beyond that, it appears that Cobel and Milchick’s connection was once characterized as a mentor-mentee dynamic, where any actions or consequences would primarily be Cobel’s responsibility. However, with Milchick’s advancement in position, now any events that occur are his responsibility.

In other words, whether or not he betrayed Cobel is something we might want to ponder, but it’s intriguing in this new situation where he’s attempting to win Mark over again (in Season 2, Episode 1), that he’s laying all his cards on her.

Right now, the second season of “Severance” is being broadcast on Apple TV+, a platform that’s likely to provide responses to several, though perhaps not all, of the lingering questions.

Delving deeper into the mystery surrounding Lumon, let’s explore two intriguing theories. The first revolves around Milchick’s ominous proposition, while the second sheds light on the Innies, which might significantly impact Dylan.
