Approximately a month has passed since developer Astrolabe Interactive launched their long-awaited first game, Aloft, on Steam Early Access for PC, after experiencing a slight delay from its original launch date. Since then, enthusiasts of the game, known as Sky Sailors, have embarked or continued on their adventures across the Sky Islands, constructing their ideal skyborne homes and piecing together their Skyship to voyage to the islands and purge them of their corruption.
The developer has regularly informed its players about the latest news, advancements, and updates for the game, including a recent patch update meant to maintain smooth gameplay. A significant achievement was recently unveiled by the developer for their survival exploration game – it surpassed a notable milestone, marking a first for their initial game just weeks after its launch.

On January 15th, 2025, Astorlable Interactive made Aloft, their survival exploration game, available for PCs via Steam in an Early Access phase. This allows them to keep refining the game before it’s released on other platforms later. During this Early Access period, the development team collaborates closely with players, who they call Sky Sailors, by taking their feedback into account to resolve various issues and achieve new milestones.
Through updates on the game’s social media platforms and Steam News hub, it’s been announced that Aloft, the developer’s first release, has sold over 100,000 copies. The developers are “ecstatic” about this achievement, expressing their gratitude in an official post: “We want to sincerely thank each and every one of you for joining us on this new journey with Aloft.
The programmer repeatedly emphasized their dedication to delivering essential improvements for Aloft, such as game tweaks, enhancements, and bug solutions to tackle immediate play issues. They also shared the game’s Roadmap for post-release content last month, outlining crucial content, features, and more that will be rolled out to Aloft in 2025. The initial significant content update is set to launch soon, as indicated by the developer in a recent news article.
