The trailer for the eight-episode second season of “Surface,” streaming on Apple TV+, offers a tantalizing peek at Gugu Mbatha-Raw‘s character, Sophie, as she embarks on an exciting journey to London.
As a die-hard fan, I’d say: In the latest installment, I find myself stepping into the shoes of Sophie, whose past is shrouded in mystery due to an unexpected injury that’s left me with blank memories. To fill these voids, I immerse myself within the grandeur of British royal society. However, the status quo shifts dramatically when a journalist, out of the blue, contacts me, hinting at a fresh scandal waiting to unravel.
Actress Gugu Mbatha-Raw is set to reprise her role, joining her co-stars Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Millie Brady, Phil Dunster from “Ted Lasso”, Gavin Drea from “Daisy Jones & The Six”, Rupert Graves, Tara Fitzgerald, Nina Sosanya, Joely Richardson, and Freida Pinto in the world of “Surface”.
(This version maintains the original structure while using simpler sentence structures and more common phrasing to make it easier for readers to understand.)
Season 2 of ‘Surface’ premieres this coming Friday, February 21st, with fresh episodes airing every week afterwards. Check out the trailer below to get a sneak peek!”
