Currently, you’ll find a multitude of mods readily available for immediate download from the start menu in Hogwarts Legacy. For instructions on how to incorporate these mods into your gaming experience, follow along with the subsequent guide.
Install Mods in Hogwarts Legacy
Unlike many popular single-player PC games like Starfield or Fallout, the process of adding additional content in Hogwarts Legacy is more streamlined. Instead of resorting to third-party platforms such as Nexus Mods, you can directly access an official mod manager provided by the developers. This built-in tool houses all the compatible and supported modifications for Hogwarts Legacy, allowing you to selectively enable or disable the ones that interest you.
To utilize the Hogwarts Legacy mod manager, first, make sure your Steam or Epic Games account is connected with a WB Games account. Only then will you be able to begin using it. Here’s how to connect your accounts:
1. Log in to your WB Games account if you haven’t already.
2. Navigate to the section where you can link external accounts.
3. Enter your Steam or Epic Games login credentials and grant permission for the accounts to be connected.
4. Once linked, you should now have access to the Hogwarts Legacy mod manager.
- Go to the WB Games website and login or create an account using the blue button that pops up
- Once you’re logged in, go to your account page and find the “Connections” tab
- Here, scroll down until you see either Steam or Epic Games. Choose the platform where you’re going to play Hogwarts Legacy
- Click the white “Connect” button to the right of the platform and login with your details
- From there, your accounts should be linked
Once you’ve connected your WB Games and platform profiles, you’re all set to open Hogwarts Legacy and access the mod management tool. To do this, just navigate to the main menu and click on “Play Mods”. Easy peasy!
This link leads you to the official webpage dedicated to in-game modifications, created either by developers or the gaming community. These mods are free to download, just requiring some storage space on your device. The page offers a variety of ways to find your desired mod: You can browse top picks from each category, refine your search using the “Sort By” menu, or directly look for specific mods by name.
To customize your character’s appearance or outfit, navigate to the “Character” section located at the top of the “Browse” page by clicking on the avatar icon. Additionally, you can find the option to change your mount from a hippogriff to a dragon by scrolling down to the “Mounts/Brooms” section at the bottom of the same page.
After choosing the mod you wish to install, simply click on it and then hit the “Install” button located in the mod’s information section. This area will also provide details such as when the mod was developed, last updated, and the amount of storage needed for its installation.
Once the mod is completely downloaded, it gets automatically added to your “Library.” You can also locate it through the mod manager within Hogwarts Legacy. After installation, you’ll need to activate that specific mod on one of your save files. This can be done from the “Enable Mods” section in the mod manager. Simply select a save file and then start the game from there to instantly use your installed mod.
Should you ever decide to deactivate a mod from your collection, navigate to the menu and select the option to remove or delete it. Keep in mind that this process involves manipulating the save file associated with the mod installation.
