Nestle’s Coffee mate intends to outshine its Super Bowl advertising competitors not through the use of a famous appearance, but instead by featuring a well-known personality through their tongue.
Shania Twain lends her voice to a versatile character in a 30-second advertisement for the “Cold Foam” variation of the non-dairy creamer. This variant offers tantalizing flavors like Nestle Toll House Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie, Italian Sweet Crème, and French Vanilla.
During her conversation with EbMaster, Twain expressed that one needs to have a good sense of humor while doing something like that. She mentioned that she found the catchy, upbeat song created by marketing executives (with lyrics such as ‘Have you ever seen a tongue do this?’) particularly amusing.
On February 9, Coffee Mate is set to join numerous food advertisers aiming to capture a piece of the financial resources of Super Bowl viewers, as Fox broadcasts the event live from New Orleans. Alongside these businesses seeking consumers’ cravings (and spending) will be PepsiCo, Danone, Ferrara, Anheuser-Busch InBev, and Kellanova. Additionally, there will be three ads from different food delivery services that can deliver meals straight to customers’ doors.

Come February 9, Coffee Mate joins the ranks of many food advertisers eager to tap into the disposable income of Super Bowl spectators, with Fox airing the game live from New Orleans. In this competitive landscape are PepsiCo, Danone, Ferrara, Anheuser-Busch InBev, and Kellanova, all vying for consumers’ appetites and wallets. Furthermore, there will be three advertisements from food delivery services promising to bring meals right to customers’ doorsteps.
As Twain explains, adopting a playful demeanor was essential for her preparations. She saw this as an opportunity to be free and nimble with her words, and she found herself fully immersed in the excitement of mastering this light and airy material.
As a cinema enthusiast, instead of relying on familiar faces like Post Malone, Billy Crystal, Meg Ryan, Ben Affleck, and Willem Dafoe to grab attention this Super Bowl, Nestle is opting for a more distinctive approach. Instead of Mark Twain himself, it’s Twain’s voice that will be heard in their commercial, but don’t expect to see him front and center. Instead, they’re betting on the intrigue of an anthropomorphic organ to pique viewers’ curiosity about their flavored coffee.
