RRQ vs. NSR Set Record For Longest Map In VCT Pacific

Today at the Pacific Kickoff tournament, spectators saw an incredibly intense matchup between RRQ and Nongshim, Lotus. The second game of this series set a new record for the longest map ever played in VCT Pacific history, stretching to an astonishing 42 rounds. In the end, it was Nongshim who claimed victory.

In the game, Persia was the standout player, racking up a staggering 35 kills and boasting an impressive ACS score of 244. Notably, Francis and Ivy also played pivotal roles, each delivering clutch performances to keep RRQ on their toes throughout the match.

In a three-game tournament, Nongshim, who emerged victorious in the 2024 Ascension Pacific, maintained their chances of winning the Masters Bangkok by claiming the title.

During our serious rounds on Lotus, the team was still chuckling. When I inquired about it, they responded, “Well, it’s all part of the fun. We’re playing Valorant, and even if we lose, we’re still learning. So let’s just have a good time.” They were truly excelling out there.

In the Pacific Kickoff 2025, the match drew more than a quarter of a million spectators, placing it among the top five most-viewed games. Here are some key moments from the match that you might find interesting: [Link to highlights]

Due to their elimination from the tournament, RRQ will not make it to Masters Bangkok either.

Alternatively, instead of Nongshim, it’s Talon they’ll be up against on February 2nd. You can witness this event unfold live on both Twitch and YouTube channels for the VCT Pacific.
