I’ve been elevated to the role of Senior Vice President and U.S. Chief Content Officer at AMC Theatres. Taking over from me will be Elizabeth Frank, our long-standing head of worldwide programming and chief content officer. She’s moving on to become the CEO of RealD, a prominent provider of 3D cinema technology.
In her fresh position, Denson-Randolph will manage AMC’s home-based movie programming, acquire content, develop strategies for films, and maintain relationships with the studio and creative community. Based in Los Angeles, she will work under AMC’s chairman and CEO, Adam Aron, and sit on AMC’s executive committee.

Denson-Randolph will now be in charge of AMC’s domestic film programming, content acquisition, movie strategies, studio relations, and creative community connections. Based in LA, she reports to AMC’s chairman and CEO Adam Aron, is a member of the executive team, and will be stationed at AMC.
Denson-Randolph has been with AMC Theatres for 16 years now, where she’s recently taken the lead in organizing and carrying out their successful concert films like “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” and “Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé.” Additionally, she played a crucial role in initiating AMC Artisan Films, an initiative aimed at promoting artist-driven movies.
In a statement, Aron highlighted the significant impact Nikkole Denson-Randolph‘s vision, creativity, and exceptional skills in the film sector have had on AMC’s achievements over the past 16 years. Her knack for recognizing varied content, amplifying distinct cinematic voices, and devising programs that boost viewership has propelled AMC to the forefront of exhibiting films that appeal to all demographics. She is held in high esteem not only within AMC but also across the entertainment industry. Aron expressed confidence that AMC will continue to thrive as Elizabeth Frank’s role transitions to Nikkole.
As a passionate movie buff with a knack for business, I’ve had the privilege to serve as the Director of Business Development for Starbucks Coffee’s entertainment sector. Additionally, I held the esteemed position of President at Magic Johnson Entertainment.
It’s a privilege for me to step up and guide AMC’s film operations within the United States during such a dynamic period in the industry. Movies, after all, are a universal medium of expression, and AMC is at the vanguard of transforming compelling narratives into captivating big-screen experiences. I eagerly anticipate expanding upon our rich history and ensuring that moviegoers everywhere can enjoy an exceptional cinematic journey at AMC Theatres.
In the process of leadership changeover, Juan Antonio Gomez, who currently holds the position of Chief Partnership and Content Officer at Odeon Cinema Group, will now oversee all international film and content programming for AMC Entertainment’s movie theaters excluding those in the U.S. He will be based in London and will continue to report to Mark Way, President of Europe and Managing Director of Odeon Cinemas Group. Gomez will maintain his position on the executive committee of Odeon while taking on these new responsibilities for AMC.
Simultaneously, I am fully convinced that Juan Antonio Gomez will persistently utilize his distinct industry expertise in programming our global screens,” Aron expressed. “Through my extensive exploration of cinema businesses throughout Europe, it has become evident to me that no one else possesses the skill and efficiency in completing tasks like Juan Antonio.
Over the course of 15 years, Frank played a significant role in expanding AMC from being the second biggest theater chain in the USA to becoming the largest globally. This was achieved by acquiring several prominent cinema groups such as Carmike Cinemas (based in the US), Odeon & UCI Cinemas (headquartered in London) and Nordic Cinema Group.
Elizabeth Frank has been instrumental in shaping AMC’s development, consistently exceeding our expectations,” Aron noted. “We appreciate her commitment to AMC and are delighted that she has been given the CEO position at RealD,” he added. Notably, RealD is a significant programming partner for both AMC and Odeon. For instance, in 2024, RealD 3D contributed $145 million to AMC’s domestic box office. I am optimistic that Elizabeth’s leadership will foster growth in RealD 3D, potentially bringing substantial financial advantages to both AMC and Odeon.
Frank called her time at AMC “deeply rewarding, both professionally and personally.”
Working with AMC, I’ve directly witnessed how 3D can significantly improve the cinema experience and boost a film’s earnings at the box office,” she shared. “I’m thrilled about my move to RealD, given the promising indicators that suggest 3D is poised for significant expansion within the industry.
