McDonald’s recently introduced a new “McExtreme” burger, which is the most similar offering to the McPizza since it was first introduced in the 1980s.
McDonald’s introduced the ‘Big Arch’ burger in certain regions worldwide back in 2024, serving as a trial run. Regrettably, this delicious creation has not yet found its way across the Atlantic to the United States. Despite the anticipation among Americans for its arrival, McDonald’s is focusing efforts on developing different menu options instead.
I’m thrilled to share that, starting from January 27th, McDonald’s Spain has unveiled a new addition to their menu – the McExtreme Tutti Pepperoni! This is yet another delicious creation by the global fast-food giant that I can’t wait to sink my teeth into.
After the announcement, Mercatwo.zero divulged all details about the new burger, which is remarkably similar to their re-introduction of the “McPizza.
New McDonald’s burger tastes like a pizza
The article states that McDonald’s Spain has introduced a new McExtreme Tutti Pepperoni burger featuring various pizza-style ingredients.
Here, we have beef, a layer of cheddar cheese, sliced onions, and a tangy tomato sauce seasoned with oregano and mini pieces of pepperoni.
Beef is joined by cheddar cheese, onions, and a tomato sauce infused with oregano and pepperoni bits as part of the mix.
On January 21, 2025, the new burger made its debut at more than 625 McDonald’s outlets across Spain.
There’s uncertainty about whether McDonald’s plans to sell this burger in countries outside its origin, such as the United States, but it’s evident that they are open to testing new food items in international markets.
Apart from the upcoming items in 2025, McDonald’s also plans to reintroduce a popular menu item – the Snack Wrap. This comeback was hinted at by McDonald’s back in December, long after its disappearance from US stores. The Senior Marketing Director mentioned that it was the persistent demands of fans over the years that eventually led to this revival.
He stated, ‘Should there be a moment of doubt in your mind whether your contributions here make a difference, if they are meaningful, or if we value them, let me clarify – it is solely because of your persistent posts, pleas, and appeals that the situation has been addressed.’
