Following the release of some of its exclusive games on PlayStation and Nintendo Switch last year, Xbox’s first multiplatform game for 2025 has been unveiled. Playground Games and Turn 10 Studios have announced that Forza Horizon 5 will be speeding its way to PlayStation consoles this coming spring.
The development of the PS5 version is being handled by Panic Button, a studio known for their work in titles such as Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order, Forza Horizon 4, and Apex Legends. This next-gen edition will offer cross-play compatibility, allowing players on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC to unite and enjoy the Horizon Festival jointly.
As a dedicated fan, I’m thrilled to share that every single bit of content featured in both the Xbox and PC versions of Forza Horizon 5 – boasting approximately 900 cars, over 40 themed updates, and two complete expansions – will be accessible right from the start for PlayStation gamers. Additionally, all paid expansions, such as the Hot Wheels pack set to release in 2022, will be readily available on the PlayStation Store.
As an enthusiastic supporter, I’m thrilled to share that a fresh update is about to roll out simultaneously across all platforms, known as Horizon Worlds. This exciting update coincides with the launch of the PS5 version. The official blog post on the Forza website reveals that this new content will offer players an opportunity to traverse a carefully selected assortment of popular Evolving Worlds from our community’s previous releases, along with some delightful surprises!
In a new development, Forza Horizon 5 – not the latest Forza game overall but the newest in the Forza Horizon series – is now available on PlayStation 5, joining Sea of Thieves and Hi-Fi Rush which were released last year as Xbox exclusives. This title is currently among TopMob’s top recommendations for the best racing games currently out there.
Starting today, you can add the PS5 version of Forza Horizon 5 to your wish list on the PlayStation Store. The game will be released for play in the springtime.
