Ubisoft has officially announced that the upcoming downloadable content (DLC) for Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 is named “Battle for Brooklyn” and is scheduled to drop by the close of 2025.
2019 marked the launch of Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, which has received consistent updates from Ubisoft since then. The Warlords of New York expansion, released in 2020, returned the series to Manhattan, the original game’s setting. Previously, Ubisoft hinted at a DLC for Brooklyn during Year 6 of support, but its development encountered several setbacks as Ubisoft prioritized other parts of the game.
Just last week on January 28th, Ubisoft informed players that the DLC would not be released during their Year 6 seasonal updates in order to deliver an exceptional experience. This had sparked concern that the DLC might also miss its 2025 release date. However, today, January 30th, Ubisoft has unveiled the initial concept art and title of the DLC.
Agents, we’re returning to New York City! Excitingly, the Brooklyn DLC is set to release this year. Take a look at this exclusive preview—just for you! 👀

This key artwork suggests that the upcoming DLC focuses on a team traversing a street in Brooklyn, with the iconic Brooklyn Bridge in the background. Since players had limited access to Brooklyn during The Division’s tutorial, this expansion is expected to introduce an entirely fresh map for exploration, along with a wealth of other new content.
In simple terms, you can play Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The seventh year of updates for The Division 2 is expected to start around June 2025. Therefore, Battle for Brooklyn might release during the second half of that year.
Regarding future plans for this franchise, Ubisoft had initially announced Tom Clancy’s The Division 3 for release in 2023; however, they also scrapped a spin-off titled Tom Clancy’s The Division Heartland during the same year.
