Anitta’s New Documentary and ‘El Eternauta’ Premiere Date Unveiled by Netflix!

At its upcoming Netflix event, the streaming service announced several updates for its Latin American audience. These include a new documentary featuring Brazilian singer Anitta and the release date for “El Eternauta,” an eagerly anticipated adaptation of the Argentine science fiction comic book with the same title.

Titled “El Eternauta,” featuring prominent Argentine actor Ricardo Darín (“The Secrets in Their Eyes”), this series showcases the streaming platform’s aspiration to explore a variety of genres within Latin America. The premiere date for “El Eternauta” is set globally on April 30.

Following a catastrophic blizzard laced with poison that claimed countless lives, the show is led by Bruno Stagnaro and features Darín as Juan Salvo. In the chaos of Buenos Aires, Juan teams up with a band of survivors to combat an unseen danger.

Another eagerly awaited Netflix release in Argentina, titled “Atrapados,” which is adapted from Harlan Coben’s book “Caught,” is scheduled to debut on March 26th.

Francisco Ramos, the Vice President of Content for Latin America, stated that the title mirrors the streamer’s mission to share “genuine narratives that reflect local traditions and cater to diverse preferences.

Simultaneously, in Mexico, Netflix hinted at an upcoming series centered around the late Mexican music icon Juan Gabriel, with renowned documentary director María Jose Cuevas at the helm.
