Despite the fact that Season 6 finale took place more than a month back, our minds are still in a whirl. The setup of five major cliffhangers for Virgin River Season 7 has left us eagerly anticipating, but one particular plot point has sparked some confusion already.
In our opinion, Virgin River Season 6 stood out as exceptional. It offered a more profound exploration of Mel and Jack’s bond, while the ups and downs in Brie and Brady’s romance kept viewers anxiously waiting.
In the next twelve months, we’ll need to be patient before Season 7 unfolds, providing us with the resolution for the last turbulent 20 minutes where Lark took Brady’s entire fortune and Mike proposed to Brie following the disclosure of her affair.
The situation at the clinic has Doc on the verge of losing it, as Mel might be welcoming a newborn baby from her surrogate patient. Yet, it’s another plot twist for Virgin River Season 7 that’s proving problematic already.
Forgiving Charmaine complicates Virgin River Season 7
As a gamer, I find myself pondering over a strange case that’s been buzzing in the gaming community lately. Remember Charmaine, who vanished from sight after skipping Mel and Jack’s wedding? The rumors swirl that Calvin might have taken her away, possibly to claim sole custody of their twins. Though we can’t be sure about the details yet, I can’t help but wonder: Why was Charmaine forgiven so easily in the first place?
For fans, it’s a significant concern approaching the upcoming series: One Reddit user commented, “I just can’t fathom how the entire town, along with Mel and Jack, managed to move on so easily from the fact that Charmaine was trying to make Jack raise two babies that weren’t his, born from a one-night stand with a criminal.
Following numerous instances of deceit and control, it’s rather surprising that Jack, Mel, and Charmaine have become so close that they would go to great lengths to shield her and consider her a cherished friend. Are the townspeople virtuous or simply naive? What is it about Charmaine that keeps her a prominent figure in their lives?
I’m sorry, but upon completing the last episode, I can only hope that she was somehow taken captive and left bound to a tree in the heart of a forest.
A second individual commented, “If they had presented Charmaine as a relatable character and elicited some empathy for her, maybe we could all extend forgiveness like Mel and Jack did. However, she was consistently impolite, patronizing, and manipulative since the start. Thus, her acceptance seems to be lacking, particularly among viewers.
poor storytelling was evident, as a narrative element from another group of characters in the novels was awkwardly integrated into the stories of Mel, Jack, and Charmaine, according to a third observer.
Initially, when we’re introduced to Charmaine during Season 1, she believes she is Jack’s girlfriend. On the contrary, Jack views their encounters as purely casual. As Jack develops feelings for Mel, Charmaine actively tries to create misery in Mel’s life.
If you began watching Virgin River at Season 6, you wouldn’t realize any of the previous events took place. Jack plays a significant role in helping Charmaine obtain legal assistance against Calvin, while Mel asks her to handle the bride’s hair and makeup for the wedding.
Even though it seems like old issues are water under the bridge when it comes to Charmaine in Virgin River, there’s a good possibility that her past reputation might still play a significant role in shaping her storyline for Season 7.
As a devoted fan, I must admit, the extent of Charmaine’s appearance in upcoming episodes remains uncertain. Her prolonged “on-screen pregnancy” between Seasons 1 and 5 has been quite intriguing, with rumors swirling that actress Lauren Hammersley was pregnant during the filming of Season 6 in real life.
If it’s accurate, she may not make any more physical appearances in future episodes. Is there a chance that Virgin River might bring her back unexpectedly close to the end?
The sixth season of the popular series Virgin River has just been released on Netflix. We invite you to catch up with our recap of the show, an analysis of its ending, and the outcome of Preacher’s trial. Additionally, we will shed light on what Everett shared with Mel.
