As a devoted cinephile, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news: Mira Sorvino and Lisa Kudrow might be reprising their iconic roles for a follow-up to the 1997 comedic gem, “Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion.” This sequel has the potential to bring us back together with these beloved characters, reliving the hilarity that made the original a timeless classic. Stay tuned for more updates on this eagerly awaited reunion!
Tim Federle, known for creating “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series” and directing the Disney+ original movie “Better Nate Than Ever,” is set to direct the upcoming film. Previously involved in the original production are screenwriter Robin Schiff, producer Laurence Marks, and they will be rejoining. Barry Kemp has also been added as a producer for this project.
THR was first to report news of the advanced talks.
