Amidst global events, it’s been announced that the 2025 Grammy Awards will feature a unique twist. A lineup of a dozen new artists will deliver standout performances, according to the Recording Academy, which was unveiled on Wednesday. This lineup includes the traditional In Memoriam segment, a tribute to Quincy Jones’ life and legacy, as well as performances honoring the essence of Los Angeles.
A variety of artists such as Stevie Wonder, Cynthia Erivo, Chris Martin from Coldplay, Lainey Wilson, Herbie Hancock, Brittany Howard, Brad Paisley, Janelle Monáe, John Legend, Sheryl Crow, St. Vincent, and Jacob Collier have been added to the lineup. On Sunday, February 2nd, the show is scheduled to air live at 8 p.m. Eastern Time (ET) or 5 p.m. Pacific Time (PT) on CBS Television Network. Before the main broadcast, the Grammy Awards Premiere Ceremony will take place live from the Peacock Theater at 12:30 p.m. PT and can be streamed live on the Recording Academy’s YouTube channel and live.grammy.com.
At the Opening Ceremony, artists such as Yolanda Adams, Wayne Brady, Deborah Cox, Scott Hoying, Angelique Kidjo, and Taj Mahal will take the stage to perform. Among those also scheduled to perform are current nominees Joe Bonamassa, Joyce DiDonato, Béla Fleck, Renée Fleming, Muni Long, and Kelli O’Hara, as well as composer Kevin Puts. Presenters for the event will include Brady and Hoying, Bob Clearmountain, Rhiannon Giddens, Queen Sheba, Anoushka Shankar, and Jimmy Jam.
This year’s broadcast will be infused with a fresh mission: to gather extra funds for the aid of Los Angeles wildfire relief, and to honor the courage and commitment of first responders. We aim to garner substantial support not just for those within the music industry, but also for everyone impacted by the crisis in Los Angeles, and the city as a whole.
Over the past week, the Recording Academy and MusiCares have successfully gathered over $4 million in urgent assistance for musicians impacted by the wildfires in Los Angeles through their Fire Relief Effort.
