Vaan
- The Crossbow is his main attack, featuring a high fire rate, wide spread, and large ammo capacity.
- Rift Protection is his overdrive that temporarily creates a barrier over the Rift, stopping enemies from causing Rift Point loss.
- Rift Teleport is his trap, instantly sending War Mages back to the Rift when activated.
- Charge Beam is his secondary attack, locking Vaan in place while firing a powerful beam that slows, pierces, and damages enemies.
- Rift Orb calls forth an energy-infused sphere that enhances the damage of nearby traps.
- Rift Lightning is a trait that causes the Rift to periodically unleash bolts of lightning at nearby enemies when Vaan is close.
Wren
- Wand is her primary attack, balancing a moderate fire rate with high damage per shot.
- Mirror Images (overdrive) lets her summon two invulnerable magic clones that mimic all of Wren’s movements and attacks.
- Time Crystals is her trap that reduces the rest time of adjacent traps while there are crystals. Crystals are consumed when a trap is triggered and replenish between waves.
- Trap Blast is her secondary attack, Launching an orb from Wand that immediately triggers all traps in its AoE.
- Proximity Orb is her special ability that summons a floating orb that waits in the air until an enemy comes close, then homes in on a target for heavy damage.
- Perfect Recharge is her trait. It enhances her reloads by creating a timing window, hitting it precisely grants extra ammo for the next magazine.
Harlow
- Blunderbuss (primary attack) fires bursts of multiple projectiles at a slow rate.
- Treat Time is her overdrive. She feeds Henry (her companion) a treat that transforms him into a fierce beast. In this form, he hurls massive fireballs that explode on impact for heavy damage.
- Boom Barrel (trap) is an exploding barrel that can be placed on top pf another traps. It detonates when shot by a player but won’t trigger from other traps. Used barrels automatically replenish between waves.
- Pretty Lights (secondary attack) fires a cluster grenade that deals continuous damage in a small area.
- Wind Blast is her special ability that sends out a powerful gust of wind, Launching smaller enemies away.
- Henry (trait) passively fires at nearby enemies.
Mac
- Wrench Staff is his main attack, delivering powerful shots with a slow fire rate and an extremely wide spread.
- Scan Weak Points is his overdrive. marking multiple enemies with a debuff that makes them take extra damage from the Wrench Staff. Marked targets are highlighted.
- Gravity Lift is his trap that lifts War Mages in the air while active before letting them slowly descend.
- Zoom is his secondary attack that zooms in with the scanner for a closer view. This greatly increases damage and eliminates spread but reduces the fire rate.
- Gravity Blast is his special skill that fires a grenade that Launches small enemies into the air in slow motion while slowing down larger foes.
- Head Count is his trait. The Headshot damage multiplier increases with each successful Headshot in a magazine.
Kalos
- Hammer (primary) delivers a slow but powerful melee combo with wide, sweeping strikes.
- Rage Ward (overdrive) places a large ward on the ground that heals War Mages and boosts their damage while they stand inside it.
- Healing Berries (trap) grows fruit over time that restores health to War Mages.
- Slam Jump (secondary) leaps forward and high into the air before slamming his hammer down, dealing area damage and Launching small enemies. If used during a combo, Kolos also Launching himself into the air.
- Calling Stone is his special ability that summons a floating stone totem that slowly rotates and emits a sound, luring nearby enemies to attack and destroy it.
- Nature’s Protection (trait) grants Kolos a secondary health bar that depletes before his base health, and regenerates after not taking damage.
Sophie
- Draggers is her primary attack, delivering a fast melee combo with a series of sweeping strikes.
- Summon Bartholomew is her overdrive, calling forth a powerful skeleton warrior to fight by her side until his health is depleted.
- Vampiric Jaws is her trap that stuns an enemy and applies Rend. Any damage dealt by War Mages to a Rend enemy is a guaranteed Critical Hit.
- Knife Throw is her secondary attack. She throws a knife straight ahead. a knife straight ahead. When used mid-combo, she instead throws a fan of knives around her.
- Shadow Form is her special skill. She turns into a shadowy figure that moves faster and becomes immune to damage. She leaves a trail of shadow magic that detonates when the effect ends, damaging nearby enemies. The form can be left early with a primary attack.
- Bloodthirsty is her trait. She regains health with every Critical Hit she lands.
Maximilian
- Max Crossbow (primary) has a high rate of fire, wide spread, and an exceptionally high ammo capacity.
- Unchained Bladestaff (overdrive) replaces Crossbow with a Bladestaff. His primary attack becomes a melee combo with wide, sweeping strikes, while the secondary attack is a ground slam that sends enemies Launching into the air. It also increases his movement speed and health regeneration.
- Friendly Flip (trap) sends War Mages flying through the air.
- Stun Bolt (secondary) fires a projectile that stuns all enemies in the area around its impact point.
- With Nade Spam (special), Max pulls out a classic Blunderbuss to quickly fire a barrage of frag grenades that bounce and explode individually.
- Double Jump (trait) allows him to jump again while in mid-air for extra height.
How to unlock Maximilian
To get, you’ll need to collect 5 pieces of a magic mirror glowing with a blue light:
- One piece can be found in the training area. Use Karlos’s Slam Jump to reach the pillars and jump onto the fortifications, where you’ll find it near some barrels and benches.
- Another piece is in the classroom, next to the bed and guitar.
- The third piece is up the stairs from the classroom, leading to an opening. It’s located by the door.
- The next piece is on a pillar in the yard. You’ll need to use Karlos’s Slam Jump to reach it.
- The final piece is by the Weavers, located on the balcony.
