Starting from the previous week, an exciting partnership between McDonald’s and Pokémon has introduced four Pokémon trading cards in every Happy Meal box. In total, there are fifteen cards available, with seven of them featuring a unique holographic backdrop. If you’ve been collecting these cards for the past week, you might be pondering whether they hold any worth.
Are the new 2025 McDonalds Happy Meal Pokémon cards worth anything
This fresh collection of fifteen unique Pokemon cards includes some that could potentially hold value. However, it’s important to note that unlike previous sales, the Charizard card in this pack isn’t expected to fetch thousands online due to a key difference. Specifically, among the fifteen cards, Charizard is not one of the seven featuring a holographic backdrop, which often commands higher prices. Collectors hoping for substantial resale value from this set might find themselves feeling let down.
Based on findings from Dot Esports, using data from TCGPlayer.com, the highest price one could expect to receive for a card from this set is approximately five dollars and some change. However, as these cards are fairly new, having been released just over a week ago, prices may still shift and fluctuate until the promotion concludes in late February. Additionally, it’s impossible to predict how much their value might grow in the future. For now, it seems premature to consider selling them.
As reported by Dot Esports, the two most expensive cards are Roaring Moon, potentially worth up to $5.70, and Dragonite, valued at a maximum of $5.50. If fortune favors you and one of these cards is among the four in your pack, you might be able to sell them to recoup the cost of the Happy Meal.
It appears that purchasing Happy Meals in large quantities for the purpose of accumulating promotional cards may not currently yield any significant financial gain. However, this doesn’t mean you should refrain from collecting these cards or enjoying your chicken nuggets. The goal here is simply not to expect immediate returns on investment.
