Techland, developers of the zombie-apocalypse game Dying Light, has big aspirations for this series. To mark the 10th anniversary since the original game launched on consoles and PCs, they aim to expand Dying Light through several unspecified projects and into various types of media.

We have a host of exciting, yet-to-be-revealed projects lined up, expanding beyond video games. Get ready for new board games, exclusive merchandise, an original webcomic series, and much more. Enthusiasts of the open-world zombie survival genre won’t have to wait much longer for the next installment in the series, as Dying Light: The Beast is slated for release in Summer 2025. In the interim, Techland has announced that both Dying Light and Dying Light 2 players can anticipate free updates coming soon. For Dying Light fans, this includes new events, rewards, a visual upgrade, and a remastered soundtrack featuring fresh music from the original composer Paweł Błaszczak.
As a fellow gamer, I’m thrilled to share that in my world of Dying Light 2, more tweaks are coming to the prologue, and the studio intends to integrate the co-op roguelite mode Tower Raid as a permanent feature! If you’ve been yearning to join this thrilling series and happen to own a PS5 or PS4, get ready because Dying Light 2 has just landed in the Game Catalog for PS Plus Extra and Premium members!
Similar to the initial release, Techland continues to roll out updates for the sequel, beginning from its launch in 2022. However, certain enhancements such as a premium in-game currency have garnered mixed reactions among players.
