Get ready for WWE 2K25! Tonight during WWE Raw on Netflix, we unveiled the official cover star – it’s none other than Roman Reigns! If you’ve been paying attention to our hints, you might have guessed it already, but now it’s officially confirmed: Roman Reigns graces the cover of WWE 2K25.
2024 marked one of the most significant years in Reigns’ career. After holding the WWE Championship for 1,316 days, he relinquished it to Cody Rhodes during WrestleMania 40. Following his defeat and subsequent fallout with The Bloodline, his cousin Solo Sikoa, took over leadership of the group, leaving Reigns out of the spotlight for several months.

At SummerSlam, the ruler made a comeback, aiming to regain his position as the “Tribal Chief.” This was met with thunderous applause from the audience. Unlike Rhodes’ character who embodies a more straightforward good guy persona, Reigns has resurfaced with a touch of grit, earning him the status of the beloved hero that the company had struggled for years to establish.
At present, the cover star news serves as our only clue about WWE 2K25. Stay tuned, as we anticipate revealing more details about this year’s wrestling simulation soon. If the release schedule of last year’s game, WWE 2K24, is any guide, we can likely expect the new game to debut a few weeks before WrestleMania, which would place it in a March launch window.
In my review of WWE 2K24, I pointed out that it’s perfectly timed with the current golden era of both WWE and professional wrestling. Although the mode heavily focused on MTX (Microtransactions) seems like it was added due to a publisher requirement, there are numerous other modes that are worth investing time in for months to come. These modes are the main attractions in your personal WWE universe.
