Arlan Ruf Starring Opposite Jason Bateman, David Harbour in HBO Limited Series ‘DTF St. Louis’ (EXCLUSIVE)

Emerging talent Arlan Ruf is set to share the screen with Jason Bateman and David Harbour in the upcoming HBO mini-series “DTF St. Louis.” This information has been confirmed by our sources.

The seven-part series, titled “DTF St. Louis,” was conceived by its writer and director Steven Conrad (“The Secret Life of Walter Mitty,” “Wonder”). HBO characterizes this production as a wryly humorous exploration of a forbidden love triangle among three middle-aged individuals grappling with ennui, which ultimately results in one of them meeting an untimely demise.

Jason Bateman has kept himself occupied since wrapping up his stint on Netflix’s crime drama “Ozark.” Following that, he appeared in the streamer’s suspenseful blockbuster, “Carry On,” and is currently involved with its upcoming limited series titled “Black Rabbit.” As for Winona Ryder, she’s wrapping up her work on “Stranger Things” at present. She will also join Marvel’s “Thunderbolts*” in a co-starring role, which is set to premiere in May.

Actors Linda Cardellini (known for “Freaks & Geeks”) and Richard Jenkins (nominated for an Oscar in “The Shape of Water”), will also join the cast. In this production, Ruf will portray Richard, a troubled, delinquent stepson to Harbour’s character, who struggles with social interactions.

In this revised version, I aimed to make the text more engaging and easier to read by using simpler sentences and conversational language.

Conrad is collaborating on the production of the series alongside Bateman, Michael Costigan from Aggregate Films, as well as Harbour. Additionally, Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal, Steve Tisch from Escape Artists are involved, along with Molly Allen, Bruce Terris, and Kristina Wenson from Bravo Axolotl. Lastly, James Lasdun and MGM Television are part of the team.

In the upcoming Apple original movie “Way of the Warrior Kid,” directed by McG, Ruf will be featured alongside actresses Cardellini, Anna Faris (Chris Pratt’s real-life partner), Jude Hill, and Levi McConaughey. This 11-year-old actor kickstarted his career unintentionally when his baseball coach persuaded him to take on the grumpy Halloween Clown role in a viral short film titled “Tricked No Treat.

Ruf is repped by Paradigm and AFA Prime Talent Media.
