TLC has officially revealed when “The Baldwins” reality show, featuring Alec and Hilaria Baldwin alongside their seven children, will air, as well as giving us a sneak peek. The series, initially unveiled a year ago, is scheduled to debut on Sunday, February 23 at 10 p.m. ET, according to the network’s announcement made on Monday.
As reported by TLC, “The Baldwins” series focuses on the family, including its couple and children, delving into the struggles and comedic moments that arise when raising a big family in the spotlight. However, this show is also expected to address the consequences of the 2021 film set shooting incident involving “Rust”, where cinematographer Halyna Hutchins tragically lost her life due to an accidental discharge from a prop gun handled by Alec Baldwin.
In a heart-wrenching event, a son has lost his mother in an unfathomable accident,” Hilaria Baldwin expresses in the initial glimpse of ‘The Baldwins’. “We’re making our way through this difficult time as parents, and it’s something we’ll never forget,” she adds. Alec Baldwin can later be seen reassuring his spouse, “I don’t know how I’d cope without you.
According to TLC, the first episode of “The Baldwins” showcases the family celebrating eldest son Rafael’s ninth birthday and a summer vacation in East Hampton. However, amidst the festivities, there is apprehension since Alec is set for trial. The storyline follows Alec and Hilaria as they grapple with the emotional intricacies of this challenging time, while doing their best to maintain some sense of normalcy for their children’s lives.
This month, Alec Baldwin brought a civil rights lawsuit against the district attorney and other authorities in Santa Fe, New Mexico, claiming he was unjustly charged with manslaughter following Hutchins’ tragic accidental shooting. Baldwin faced involuntary manslaughter charges for Hutchins’ demise, leading to a trial last year. The case was dropped after it was discovered that the prosecution had neglected to share crucial evidence; in December, he was exonerated when the special prosecutor abandoned her appeal of that dismissal.
Producing hit show “The Baldwins” is what Terminal B Television does best. According to the Baldwin family, filming the series has been an extraordinary experience, a remarkable journey they’ve enjoyed.
The show provides a peek at our daily family life, encompassing both joyful moments and challenging times,” they explained. “Our aim is for viewers to identify with our story and feel the warmth of our bond.
