With the release date of Civilization 7 fast approaching within a few weeks, developer Firaxis Games is planning an exclusive broadcast, offering fans an extensive look at the game before its launch. Although various livestreams and some gameplay videos have been shared by developers and content creators, they aim to showcase the dynamic multiplayer aspect of Civ 7 during the Civilization World Summit.
Civ World Summit set for multiplayer Civilization 7 showdown
If you don’t plan on purchasing either the Founders Edition or Deluxe Edition to get Early Access on February 6, the most significant sneak peek that most players will have of Civ 7 before its release will be the recently announced Civilization World Summit. This event, taking place three days before the global launch, will gather five diverse players in Hamburg for a live multiplayer game of Civilization 7.
The International Civ World Summit is set to broadcast live on February 8th, with the timing being 5pm Central European Time, 8am Pacific Time, or 11am Eastern Time. Interested viewers can catch it on the Fraxis Games Twitch platform, Civilization’s YouTube channel, or the Civilization Facebook page. For those fortunate enough to attend in person, tickets remain for the live studio audience at XPERION Hamburg, where they can experience the Civ World Summit firsthand.
Globally, numerous enthusiasts will witness an exciting clash between five prominent figures from the Civilization community, playing a real-time multiplayer game of Civilization 7. This special event, jointly organized with Rocket Beans TV, is set to be moderated by Firaxis Community Manager Sarah Engel and popular Civ YouTuber PotatoMcWhiskey.
As a dedicated fan, I can’t wait for more information about the Civ World Summit rules and contestants, which will be unveiled as we get closer to the big day! What’s more, they’ve confirmed that Twitch Drops will be available for players eager to snag an additional cosmetic in Civilization 7. The event details also hint at an exciting announcement that’ll be revealed during the livestream – I can hardly contain my excitement!
Despite some civilizations and leaders remaining unveiled, and additional content anticipated post-launch as downloadable content, it remains uncertain precisely what information enthusiasts might gather. However, regardless of what Firaxis Games plans to showcase, both new and longtime Civilization fans won’t want to overlook the opportunity to witness five seasoned players engaging in combat prior to the release date of Civilization 7.
