In a recent announcement, Marvelous unveils that the game Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma will incorporate content from another title – Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin. By choosing to download the complimentary DLC pack, players will encounter characters such as Princess Sakuna and Tama, who are originally from the latter game, within the former one.
The firm hasn’t given additional information on the upcoming crossover DLC as of now. However, the promotional video has already demonstrated that character Sakuna can navigate and even cultivate within the realm of Azuma. Further specifics regarding gameplay will be disclosed at a future date.
By the way, although these two games share a common traditional Japanese motif, they’re both produced by Marvelous. However, the Rune Factory series is internally developed within the company, whereas Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin was created by the independent studio, Edelweiss.
I just stumbled upon the thrilling teaser trailer for Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma over on the official Japanese X account! Mark your calendars, fellow fans, as this exciting new chapter in the Rune Factory series will be released simultaneously for both Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam on May 30th.
