Vin Diesel shared that the production of “Fast X: Part 2” will wrap up in Los Angeles – the city where it all began for the popular series – as an effort to support a community struggling with economic hardship due to destructive wildfires.
25 years ago, Fast and Furious began filming in Los Angeles… and now, Fast will make its way back to its hometown, as announced by Diesel on social media.
On Instagram, Diesel shared that Jordana Brewster, his fellow actor in the show, contacted him and advocated for Universal to relocate the remaining filming of their project to Los Angeles, emphasizing that the city is in dire need of it at this point. It’s uncertain how much more of “Fast X: Part 2” is yet to be filmed, as the movie doesn’t have a scheduled release date at present.

Universal did not immediately respond to a request for a comment.
Initially, “The Fast and the Furious” movie centered around a street racing gang in Los Angeles, led by Dom Toretto, portrayed by Diesel. However, over time, the series has expanded its settings to various global cities such as Tokyo, Rio de Janeiro, London, and Havana.
As a movie enthusiast penning my thoughts on the current state, I can’t help but reflect on the devastating wildfires that continue to ravage Los Angeles. These fires have claimed at least 28 lives, left countless others displaced, and caused billions of dollars in property damage. Among the affected are beloved figures from the entertainment industry, such as Billy Crystal, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Milo Ventimiglia, and Tyra Banks, who’ve either lost their homes or been forced to flee. It’s a heartbreaking reminder of Mother Nature’s power, and our shared vulnerability in the face of such events.
In “Fast X: Part 2,” the esteemed director Louis Leterrier will take the helm. The impressive cast features actors like Jason Statham, Nathalie Emmanuel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jason Momoa, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, and Dwayne Johnson.
