Following the setback caused by the LA fires, we’re now ready to unveil the 2025 Oscar nominees on Thursday mornings.
At 5:30 a.m. Pacific Time, Bowen Yang (“Wicked,” “Saturday Night Live”) and Rachel Sennott (“Saturday Night,” “Bottoms”) will be announcing the list of nominees.
Following our four Golden Globe victories earlier this month, I’m thrilled to say that “Emilia Pérez” on Netflix is poised to shine at the Oscar nominations. We took home awards for Best Comedy or Musical, Supporting Actress (Zoe Saldaña), Original Song (“El Mal”), and Non-English Language Film. Meanwhile, Brady Corbet’s “The Brutalist” is predicted to make a big impact after it claimed victories for Best Drama, Director, and Lead Actor (Adrien Brody) at the Globes.
Leading contenders for the top film award are expected to include “Anora,” “A Complete Unknown,” “Conclave,” “Dune: Chapter Two,” “A Real Trouble,” “Sing Song,” “The Element” and “Wicked.”

All of these options convey the same meaning but with slight differences in structure.
Conan O’Brien is set to emcee the 2025 Academy Awards for the very first time. This event, the 97th edition, will take place at the Dolby Theatre on March 2 and will air on ABC. For the first time, viewers can also watch it live on Hulu as it unfolds.
