I hail from the vibrant city of Dublin, born on the 29th of March, 1934. Growing up with a knack for sewing, I carried this talent to the bustling theater scene of Cleveland, Ohio, a place where my husband Jack and I chose to start our new life in 1955. Here, I had the privilege of passing on my knowledge of costume design to aspiring students at local universities and played an integral part in the enchanting Great Lakes Shakespeare Festival.
Besides her daughters Valerie, Kathleen, and Patricia, O’Brien leaves behind ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Tragically, her son, John O’Brien, predeceased her.
