In just a few short weeks, we’re counting down to the global release of Civilization 7, and the next live stream has been confirmed! It’s no secret that multiplayer will be heavily emphasized, as it’s a crucial aspect for many gamers. But, don’t forget to tune in because this stream is also expected to unveil post-launch plans, such as future DLC. If you’ve already pre-ordered the deluxe edition, you might find out what extra goodies you’ll receive. For those still undecided, they may hear about a forthcoming addition that could make Civilization 7 an absolute must-have game.
Civilization 7 Multiplayer & DLC Livestream Confirmed
The arrival of Civilization 7 is imminent, set for early February, however, Firaxis has scheduled another live stream prior to the end of the first month in 2025. Most of the leaders and civilizations in Civ 7 have been revealed, but there are still a few more to be included in the initial lineup.
On Thursday, January 30, at 10am Pacific Time (PT), or 1pm Eastern Time (ET) and 7pm Central European Summer Time (CEST), a multiplayer and post-launch livestream for Civ 7 will be broadcasted. You can catch the stream on either the Civilization YouTube channel or Firaxis Games’ Twitch channel. If you’re keen on benefiting from Twitch Drops, it’s advisable to tune in on the Twitch channel.
Before the game’s release, it’s crucial to clarify the multiplayer aspect – whether it’s entirely online or includes a hotseat mode like earlier versions. The technical specifics will matter greatly, but expect to see demonstrations of various multiplayer modes in the game as well as the adjustable settings during the stream.
It could be just as thrilling to learn about their “post-release strategies,” since currently, we know for sure that two major DLC packs are in the pipeline. One of these, known as The Crossroads of the World Collection, is part of both the Deluxe and Founders Edition of Civilization 7. This collection offers two new leaders, four new civilizations, four unique natural wonders, a special cosmetic bonus, among other things. However, the specific rollout schedule and additional details regarding this collection are yet to be disclosed.
For those who buy the Founders Edition, they’ll receive the Right to Rule Collection as a bonus. This collection of downloadable content features two additional leaders, four unique civilizations, four captivating wonders, a distinctive cosmetic reward, and even more exciting additions. The pre-order details for the Founders Edition specify that “The Right to Rule Collection comprises six DLC packs, each one will be accessible by or on September 2025 (potentially subject to modification).
It’s possible that the reference to “6 DLCs” means that specific elements from these collections will be made available for separate purchase, catering to players who are only interested in a few leaders or civilizations within the group. The significant date of September 2025 is noteworthy as it’s expected that Civilization 7 will have at least 30 leaders and 37 distinct civilizations by this time, which should enrich the gameplay experience.
